Darby’s Pet Paradise welcomes you with open paws!

In 1996, our aunts Debbie Lanza and Angie Darby started running a small kennel in Manteca under a different name. Between 1996 and 1998, they decided that they loved having their own business so much that they moved to Modesto and built their very own boarding kennel according to the specifications they wanted. In 1998, Darby’s Pet Paradise was established and open for dog and cat boarding. Debbie and Angie also branched out with some obedience training, breeding a few German Shepherd litters, and showing their Shepherd’s at dog shows, as well. Over the years there have been changes, eminent domain and road widening, structure moving, and more. Our aunts decided to make their retirement happen sooner than later and we took the reins, officially January 1st 2018.

We are Vanessa and Tiffany, the oldest two of the three Lanza kids. Growing up, we loved on our dog, Drew, who was a puppy from one of our aunts’ German Shepherd litters. He sparked our affinity for dogs when we were little, and now as adults, we have our own fur babies. We can’t wait to welcome your dogs and cats with open paws and love on them as our own!
