Tri-Town YMCA
Tri-Town YMCA provides programs and activities that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
Registration is open for Y Kids Before & After School programming. To learn more and to register, call 630.629.9622 or visit https://tritownymca.org/programs/kids/
Today, the campers packed their bags and went to England (Room 6)! Did you know the London Underground, also known as the Tube, has 409 escalators that travel the same distance as the Earth's circumference every week? Ask your camper about other fun facts they learned about today at camp.

Whatever your passion might be, you can dive right into it at summer camp!
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

Together in partnership with HelloFresh and No Kid Hungry, our Counselors in Training are really leading the way this summer by opening and coordinating the operation of a larger than life HelloFresh pantry outside of Tri-Town YMCA for the community!
Tri-Town YMCA CIT's are helping to keep the pantry stocked and ready for anyone that may be in need of food, but they need your help. If you have extra nonperishable groceries at home, stop by and drop them off in the pantry.
If you are a family that is in need of food, stop by and pick up what you need.
Let's help end childhood hunger together as a community!
By the way, there are only three of these pantries across the USA - read more about the effort in this Newsweek article: https://www.newsweek.com/food-insecurity-hellofresh-no-kid-hungry-1914518
Tri-Town YMCA is located at St. Alexander School in Villa Park (136 S Cornell Ave).
We moustache you, have you heard about the amazing work that the CIT's have been up to this summer? Big announcement on an important project they've been helping to lead for the community - stay tuned!
Hangout with other families, make bubbles, play in sprinklers, and learn other tips for avoiding summer slump at Villa Park Area Early Childhood Collaborative Saturday's Unplugged event this Saturday, June 29.
Conga line dancing 💃🏼 🕺🏼 at the swimming pool🏊♀️ , a field trip to the roller rink🛼, camp talent show 🎻🪈🥁, and a visit to Brazil 🇧🇷 (aka room 5) was a fun way to celebrate the week at summer camp! Have a nice weekend, and be sure to rest up for all that we have planned next week as we celebrate the country of Mexico 🇲🇽!
Oi! That’s Portuguese for hi.
We’re off to Brazil this week for summer camp. We’re learning about the colorful birds and slithering snakes who live in the rainforests, we’re working on some team building activities, we’re playing a little bit of soccer (or air balloon volleyball on the very hot days), and so much more!
Adrus por agora! Bye for now!
Part of being a Counsor in Training is learning life skills and how to give back to the community. On Friday, the CITs visited Feed My Starving Children and packed nearly 30,000 meals in just a few hours. Thank you CITs for making a difference around the world!
Thank you to McCain Foods USA for selecting Tri-Town YMCA and Elmhurst YMCA to be the stewards for the donated bicycles they built as part of team building program with The Leader's Institute - Chicago. The bicycles will go into the Y-Cash Store where Y Kid participants can choose items to purchase with their Y-Cash that is earned in program time when they live out Y values at camp -
Does your company want to get involved with a service project for the Y? Give us a call and we will work together with you to craft an experience for your team that supports local kids.
HiYa! Thank you to Joe's Dojo for helping us learn about the sport of karate today. Remember, martial arts is about “opening your mind, opening your ears, and building character!”
The journey around the world continues at summer camp with some very interesting craft projects representing the Japanese culture. After helping all the younger campers with their crafts, the CITs snuck away for some outdoor fun. ☀️🤩🏕️♥️
It was a busy Monday - our friendly comfort dog came for a visit, we made positive affirmation fortune tellers, we studied Japan and made cherry blossom trees, we went on a nature scavenger hunt, we spent time reading at the library, and we played hot potato!
Congrats to the CITs who became CPR, First Aid, and Babysitters certified today!
Summer camp is a time when we say, “100% guarantee that your kiddo is going to have some messy fun!” And today, was nothing short of that!
The weather was perfect for our adventures in nature day at The Morton Arboretum. Despite all of the cicada friends, the campers thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Tadpole Pond, Maze Garden, and so much more!
It’s officially summer! Thank you to the entire aquatic team at the Villa Park Parks & Recreation Department for all that you do to provide our campers with a splashtastic summer!
