Hi, I’m Renee Stark and I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2016 and Certified Personal Trainer since 2018. For the first 6 years of my RDN career, my focus was Medical Nutrition Therapy across a wide variety of disease states in a hospital setting. Although I valued my time here and acquired a diverse skill set working with acute and chronic conditions, I chose to leave the inpatient setting in pursuit of my passion to help others restore their relationship with food and body. Having personally faced challenges with disordered eating in the past, I have held a longstanding belief that the root of achieving good overall health lies not in the specific foods we consume, but rather in the intricate relationship we have with food and our underlying beliefs concerning it. Having experience working at an eating disorder outpatient center after college, I was introduced to the principles of intuitive eating, food-freedom, and all-foods-fit. These are the same concepts that I continue to embrace today and strive to help others integrate into their own lives. In addition, I have a passion for finding true joy in movement through various types of activities. It is my goal to help others discover inner peace with food and movement and help on their journey in liberation from their eating disorder thoughts and behaviors and empower them to live life to its fullest potential. Today is the day!!!! Talking to state representatives to advocate for the passing of two bills that will be so beneficial for our children!!!!

To all my fellow clinicians: Therapists, Dietitians, Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Psychiatrists and Psychologists. Join us for a virtual educational hour on your lunch Break Wednesday May 17 from 12-1 central on eating disorders. There is a huge lack of adequate and informed Eating Disorder care in northeast Louisiana. We need to do better and to do better we have to know more. I put together this event due to the severe lack I see in our area. Please take the time to sit in with 3 amazing clinicians that specialize in eating disorder care and work at a higher level of care. You will learn so much to help better serve this population.
