A big thanks to the Walnut Grove Elementary 3rd graders for coming out to the Recycling Center! A great group of students and teachers that were very eager to learn more about pollution, conservation and recycling.

We wanted to thank everyone that came out to participate in our Tire Amnesty! We collected a grand total of 3,659 tires over the week long event! Those are tires that no longer pose a risk of making their way onto private property and roadsides or into our local waterways.

Looking to properly recycle sensitive documents? This is the perfect opportunity!

We wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Earth Day!! Hope we all take at least a few minutes to consider how much our planet provides for us daily and how important it is that we all do our small part to take care of and preserve it as best we can.

The theme this year is Planet vs Plastics. We encourage you to look into the ever growing problem of plastics. The problem is only getting worse at the moment. Avoid single use plastics. When buying plastic products is unavoidable, make sure it can be recycled and please recycle it. Entirely too much perfectly recyclable material is still making it to landfills everywhere.

The Recycling Center will be closed tomorrow, March 29th in observance of the Good Friday holiday. We will reopen at regular hours of operation on Saturday, March 30th. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

A big thank you to all of the volunteers that came out for our annual Rivers Alive cleanup! We have such a wonderful group of volunteers that do so much good in Walton County.

Wanted to thank everyone for coming out for our document destruction event on Saturday!! Over 5,000 pounds of paper was collected in just two hours! A big thanks to our Keep Walton Beautiful volunteers and the Walton County Composite Squadron for coming out to help. What a great group of volunteers!

We have a date set for our next shredding event! Load up all of your old documents and come out and see us on Saturday, September 23rd!

We had a great turnout for our Earth Day document destruction event! A big thanks to the Walton Squadron for all of their help, the Loganville Lion's Club for partnering with us for the event and to the City of Loganville Events City of Loganville - Government for allowing us to hold the event in a great location at the Loganville City Hall!

Keep in mind that tomorrow is Earth Day! We should all commit to doing our part to better preserve our planet. We can all find some small way to increase on efforts we made in the past.

Had such a great time today at the Monroe Country Day School discussing the meaning of Earth Day, good stewardship and recycling. What a great bunch of kids and teachers!

Our scales for disposal will be closed Thursday, March 9th and Friday, March 10th. The Recycling Center will remain open for recycling and green bag disposal only.

The scales will reopen Saturday, March 11th at 7:30am.

We really enjoyed having the 3rd graders from Social Circle Elementary out for a field trip to discuss litter, recycling and good stewardship practices! Thank you to the teachers and students for coming out for a visit!

The Walton County Recycling Center will be closed Monday, January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen at our normal hours of operations on Tuesday, January 17th.

The Recycling Center will be closed for the Christmas holidays starting at noon on Thursday, December 22nd and will reopen on Tuesday, December 27th.
