I'm seeing many posts and getting DMs about the changes in real estate starting today.

BUT here in Western Washington, it is almost business as usual with not much in regards to changes.

Why, you ask?

Because Western Washington has seen been very proactive in making changes BEFORE this that actually is more transparent (in my opinion) than what is going on with the rest of the nation.

In the most basic terms, it is a de-coupling of the buyers agent commission from the listing contract. It doesn't mean that the sellers aren't able or going to pay the buyers agents commission. It just means that it is a negotiable item.
