Our Women’s No-Gi Seminar over the weekend had an incredible turnout with over 50 in attendance, some from out of state, and upwards of $1800 raised for charity!

We’re fortunate to have so many talented women on our team. Mary, Claire, Samantha, and Gina were our instructors for this one and knocked it out of the park. Huge thanks to everybody who showed up, as well as those who put in the effort to organize and get things set up beforehand. It’s all of these things that come together and make our events special.

This past Sunday we promoted our first FEMALE BLACK BELT, Mary Orstein, after 14.5 years in Pittsburgh!

We are bringing back our Competition Camp for serious youth competitors from July 29-August 2nd in Zelienople the week preceding Grappling Industries Pittsburgh on August 3rd . This camp is for serious Youth BJJ practitioners & competitors who want to take their jiu jitsu to the next level & will include black belt level instruction. Each day will feature 3 sessions with both gi & no-gi featuring drilling, competition preperation, mindset and simulation matches. This camp is open to Youth students ages 10-14 from all teams & affiliations. (Age exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.)

Have one child, register for our early bird discount (Limited to first 16 sign ups) $400/child. We also have a family discount.

Camp is conveniently schedule from 8:30-9am drop-off time until 4:45-5:30pm pickup time Monday Through Friday. Ages 7-12 This week is open to grey/white belts & above or white belts with staff approval.

It’s always great when one of the best technicians in and now stops in and shares some knowledge. works on developing his own style and also gets to work with some of the best coaches and competitors in the world everyday. We’ve been getting to work on the material he showed the last two days!

The past few weeks I got the chance to share the mats with . I have been friends with him for 18 years since he first started jiu jitsu. Since then he’s been awarded brown and blackbelt by , taught all over the world, and, beaten some big names in competition over the years. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and skilled he’s a big athletic guy. It’s always a challenge and a learning experience. He is teaching now near flamingo . My children got to do several classes also. If you are anywhere in Costa Rica. Look him up.

On Monday April 22nd at 6:30 pm in Zelienople & Tuesday April 23rd at 6:30 pm in the Strip District Stout PGH will be hosting a series of wrestling clinics with Team USA Developmental Coach & NCAA Champion Zack Esposito. These clinics will have two separate topics, with Monday’s clinic in Zelienople covering 2 on 1 offense, and Tuesday’s clinic in the Strip District covering elbow control offense. You can attend one night for $50 or both nights for $75.

Stout Fights Presents Stout PGH BJJ Tournament On March 9th from 11 am-4:30 pm, Stout Training Pittsburgh – Team Renzo Gracie will be hosting another Pittsburgh BJJ Tournament

Im being proactive with my health. Stem cells and other therapy at Cellular Performance Institute is a part of that effort. I want to stay on the mats and be healthy as long as possible !

A couple of the great things about youth jiu jitsu are:
1.) children meet people from different schools and neighborhoods
2.) we have a progressive learning structure with classes for different levels and ages so that children with different skill levels and commitment level all have a place to fit in and get what they want to from jiu jitsu.
3.) For those that enjoy and value the SPORT aspect of jiu jitsu and like to compete we offer advanced classes at different locations with our most experienced instructors.
