Today closes out the book of Daniel. The selection for today is Daniel 11-12.

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Today’s scripture selection is Daniel 9-10.

“To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you.”

Today’s scripture selection is Daniel chapters 7 and 8.

“As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.”

Today’s scripture selection is Daniel 5-6.

The scripture selection for today is Daniel 3-4.

Today we are beginning the book of Daniel. Daniel is a combination of narratives and prophecy, and contains prophecies that range on topics from Alexander the Great to End Times. Today’s selection is Daniel 1-2.

“Daniel answered the king and said, “No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:”

Today’s scripture is Ruth chapters 3 and 4.

“Also Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, I have bought to be my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his native place. You are witnesses this day.”

Today and tomorrow’s scripture selection is the book of Ruth. Ruth tells the story of a woman who would become the great-grandmother to King David, and an ancestor of the Messiah, Jesus.

Today’s scripture is Ruth chapters 1 and 2.

“But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.”

The scripture selection for today is Esther chapters 5 and 6.

“And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.”

Today’s scripture is Esther chapters 3 and 4.

After finishing up Joshua, we are skipping on over to the book of Esther, starting with chapters 1 and 2 today.

“So when the king’s order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in Susa the citadel in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king’s palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.”

Today’s scripture is Joshua chapters 23 and 24.

“For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.”

The scripture for the day is Joshua 21-22.

“Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

The scripture for the day comes from Joshua 19-20.

“Say to the people of Israel, ‘Appoint the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you through Moses, that the manslayer who strikes any person without intent or unknowingly may flee there. They shall be for you a refuge from the avenger of blood.”

Today’s scripture selection is Joshua 17 and 18.

“They approached Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the leaders and said, “The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance along with our brothers.” So according to the mouth of the Lord he gave them an inheritance among the brothers of their father.”

Today’s scripture selection is Joshua chapters 15 and 16.

The land of Canaan divided amongst the tribes.

Today’s scripture selection is Joshua 13-14.

“And Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land on which your foot has trodden shall be an inheritance for you and your children forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’”
