Today closes out the book of Daniel. The selection for today is Daniel 11-12.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Today’s scripture selection is Daniel 9-10.
“To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you.”

Today’s scripture selection is Daniel chapters 7 and 8.
“As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.”

Today we are beginning the book of Daniel. Daniel is a combination of narratives and prophecy, and contains prophecies that range on topics from Alexander the Great to End Times. Today’s selection is Daniel 1-2.
“Daniel answered the king and said, “No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:”

Today’s scripture is Ruth chapters 3 and 4.
“Also Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, I have bought to be my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his native place. You are witnesses this day.”

Today and tomorrow’s scripture selection is the book of Ruth. Ruth tells the story of a woman who would become the great-grandmother to King David, and an ancestor of the Messiah, Jesus.
Today’s scripture is Ruth chapters 1 and 2.
“But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.”

After finishing up Joshua, we are skipping on over to the book of Esther, starting with chapters 1 and 2 today.
“So when the king’s order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in Susa the citadel in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king’s palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.”

Today’s scripture is Joshua chapters 23 and 24.
“For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.”
