To all the VOLUNTEER coaches who stepped up to coaching a team; THANK YOU! Shout out to the U12 and U10 coaches who came to training last week!
Great things are in store for the Fall season. Our registration roles have grown for the 4th year in a row!
We’re feverishly preparing for the first whistle and can’t wait to welcome you to Region 2 soccer! Here is a preview of one of the enhancements that will elevate our program even further.
From our family to yours, we are wishing everyone a fun and safe Independence Day! 🎆🇺🇸🎆🇺🇸

♥️ to all the dads today and everyday!
You drive them to practices and games. You organize snack schedules and team events. You are the team manager, the referee, the coach, and the cheerleader- regardless if it’s an “official” title or not. We wouldn’t be where we are without you, the Mothers, Moms, Aunties, and Grandmas, who keep it all going in front and behind the scenes EVERY DAY. THANK YOU!
Big thanks to everyone who stopped by our tent and a BIGGER thank you to the moms who always show up for AYSO Region 2 and our families!
There is still time to come meet some of our amazing moms! From L to R, representing each volunteer role:
Jessica Ward - Board Member (Safety Director)
Ana Neira - Team Manager
Savannah Sunez - Coach
Kate Holmberg - Referee
Barbara Tom - Board Member (Registrar)
Mom’s rock!
They coach and manage our teams. Ref our games. Lead and contribute on our volunteer board. Simply put, we couldn’t do it without them!
This Friday stop by the Monrovia Street Fair to meet and thank a few of the rockstar moms who are leading the way in Region 2! Maybe you’ll consider a place in our community of rockstar moms too!
And don’t forget to register for Fall Soccer today. Come on dad, you handle this one!
⚽️ Fall Registration is in full swing! This past Friday, members of our new Community team set up shop on Myrtle Avenue to spread the word.
Lead by Ana Neira, Community Admin, the goal of this group is simple: engage with our community like never before! Their efforts will build new bridges to connect more kids to the beautiful game and more families to the benefits of joining our vibrant volunteer community.
This year is shaping up to be our most exciting ever! Make sure you and your child get in on the fun! ⚽️
We will be at the Monrovia Street Fair tonight starting at 6 pm in front of Old Town Bistro Cafe on Myrtle. Look for our red and white Region 2 tent promoting open registration for Fall 2024!
If you are in the area, please come by to show your support for Region 2! Register on the spot and your child will receive a small token of our appreciation. Register as a volunteer and we will thank you too!
And, don’t forget, the first Friday of the month is Kid’s Night at the Fair!
We look forward to seeing you tonight.

Region 2 show some love for your Girls 12U Grape Stomp Champions! These tough & tenacious young players scored the most goals and allowed the fewest in pool play, emerging in first place on their side of the bracket.
The championship game pitted them against an Extra team from Murrieta that played tough, physical soccer and had scored the most goals on both sides of the bracket. Employing an aggressive press and with resolve to protect possession and fight for every 50-50 ball, our team scored four goals and conceded zero, to bring home the Championship to Region 2 with a shut out 4-0 win!
Congratulations to Coach Savannah Sunez and Coach Marc Wymar for leading this team to a tournament championship, and a special thank you to the amazing community of families and volunteers who support these girls and made the weekend fun and exciting for our players.
With no Extra or United program, Region 2 continues to prove that our formula for developmental soccer not only gives every kid a great opportunity to play soccer, it also gives those seeking more competitive play a chance to shine as well. And win!
Thank you to host Region 65 for a beautiful weekend of soccer in Rancho Cucamonga!
Next stop Huntington Beach!
