10 October is World Mental Health Day
The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. More needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
World Mental Health Day 2022 "Make mental health for all a global priority"
World Mental Health Day is marked every year on October 10 to raise awareness about mental health around the world and to mobilize efforts to support those experiencing mental health issues. Every year since 2013, the World Health Organization (WHO) has organized a global campaign for World Mental Health Day. The World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) announced the theme for World Mental Health Day 2022, which is ‘Make mental health for all a global priority”.
Ways to Celebrate World Mental Health Day
Now that you know more about World Mental Health Day and the purpose behind it, you may be wondering how you can participate this year. There are multiple ways to get involved and advocate for better mental health access everywhere.
One way is to consider volunteering at a local crisis center or donating to one in your community.
Another great way to celebrate this day is to check on a friend or loved one who has been struggling. Listen to them and offer to bring them dinner, help them clean, or do another task that might be difficult for them.
You can also get involved by educating yourself on mental illnesses. You could read a book or watch a documentary to learn more. If you experience mental illness yourself, you might take this opportunity to share your story, or simply to take extra time for self-care.
Today is World Mental Health Day! The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness.
This year’s theme is 'Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority'. It provides a unique and special opportunity to drive home the message of mental wellness

Health coaches utilize evidence-based strategies that match the individual’s needs, medical history, health goals, mental and psychological issues, and other factors that influence their behavior and general wellness.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization): If every child was breastfed within an hour of birth, given only breast milk for their first six months of life, and continued breastfeeding up to the age of two years, about 800,000 children's lives would be saved every year."
http://www.who.int/features/factfiles/breastfeeding/en/
That's an amazing statistic to wrap your brain around. Breastfeeding can truly be a matter of life or death. ❤
💦
Breastfeeding If breastfeeding were scaled up to near universal levels, about 820 000 child lives would be saved every year (1). Globally, only 40% of infants under six months of age are exclusively breastfed.
You cannot hold your baby too much. There is no such thing as spoiled babies. Babies are not “manipulating” you. If they want to be held all the time it is ok. If they want to be on the breast all the time that is ok. This is all normal. You are nourishing them with your love.
They are literally drinking in your aura.
Human gestation is actually 18months.
9 months on the inside, 9 months on the outside.
So it is natural and normal that baby wants to be with Mama all the time. That is a healthy response.
So go ahead hold your baby, Mama! Wear your baby. Cosleep with your baby. Don’t stress yourself out with feeding schedules. Listen to your intuition and love on your baby. Don’t worry about how things should be, what others have to say, or how it was done in the past.
Every baby is different and every Mother is different. But your baby will never be harmed by too much love.
