$165,000 donated to local non-profits.

Over the years Sabel Steel has grown into a nationally recognized business with exceptional service and dedicated support in the communities they call home. As the Sabel family and growing number of team members celebrate the 165th-anniversary, $165,000 has been donated to exceptional non-profits serving the six areas within the southeast that offices are located.
Recipients include: Brantwood Children’s Home, Ahero, Mercy House, National Alliance of Mental Illness, Montgomery Area Food Bank, United Ability, The Arc of Easter Elmore, Southern Alabama Child Advocacy Center, Wilmer Hall Children’s Home, PFK Foundation, STARC of Louisiana, Angel’s House and Bridging the Gap.

Sabel Steel has been part of the fabric of the River Region for a good long time. How long? Well, Montgomery was only 37 years old when Sabel Steel was founded in 1856. Carrying on a tradition of making life better for the communities they serve, Sabel Steel’s Sean Sabel (L) and Diane Woodruff (R) visited yesterday and presented our CEO Rich Deem a $10,000 donation.

After we thanked them profusely, they were off saying they had another nonprofit to visit. Hardly a one-off, Sabel Steel has contributed more than $1.5 Million dollars over the last 20 years, in support of the River Region.

Congratulations to our Theodore location for being this years winner of “Touchdown for Safety.” Theodore had a great safety record that supports their efforts towards proactiveness and hard work. Thank you Josh Shropshire for all your hard work and for being a great leader for all in the warehouse. We appreciate you.

Sabel Steel wanted to show our appreciation by catering lunch to the firemen at our Montgomery Fire/Rescue Training Center. Thank you so much for your service.

Today we celebrate 24 months of excellent safety record and our Baton Rouge location. Zero injuries and the winner of 2019 Touchdown Safety campaign.

Our Newnan location won a safety award for “Most improved safety program” from the state of Georgia.
