Ben works with us on the big reptiles and he is a 501c3 organization (we are working on that part). He takes tegu, monitors, red tail boas, iguanas, in addition to the smaller reptiles.
Morning everyone!! A little of what we do! We take in all different reptiles of the 5 state area no fees, no questions asked we know life changes and stuff happens. We are here to help! We will get the underweight/sick up to where they need to be and then adopt them out if they can’t be adopted out they stay in our reptile sanctuary. Any questions or want to know more just ask!! We are licensed and have 501c3 if you would like to donate please do! Also follow us on Facebook, instagram, and twitter!
Due to severe mental, emotional, and financial strain, I am discontinuing my efforts. This breaks my heart. I will continue with my own animals and am still seeking homes for those in our care now, but I am unable to continue to take this on financially.
Thank you for your support.
🥰
Reptiles are “scary” because they’re not normalized. Let us help you make them more normal for you!
👍🏻
*repost to include some updated photos*
Please note that we have stopped all intakes (technically did a while ago) until we can get some animals into new, proper homes. I want to help all of these reptiles — all of us do — but it defeats our purpose if we are not intentional about who our animals go home with.
‼️We are not seeking PERFECT homes, rather we are seeking LOVING ONES that care and will continue to learn as the husbandry recommendations evolve. ‼️
We LOVE reptiles, ALL OF THEM, and we definitely get emotionally affected by the condition we receive some of these animals in.
HOWEVER, if you are doing your best and trying to do what’s right by the animal(s), we are not going to seek any charges, etc.
PLEASE do not be afraid that we will file anything when you surrender an animal with us.
PLEASE do what’s right by the animal and surrender it - don’t get scared and throw the animals away instead.
Edit —Amra is safe 🖤🖤🖤
KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR A RED BEARDED DRAGON NEAR BROOKLYN CENTER—

This is what I’m talking about!!
Someone who is seeking some discussion and assistance in decking out their gecko’s enclosure.
Posted anonymously in fear of criticism, & rather than getting help, they received a crying reaction and deleted their post.
YOUR EGO IS NOT ABOVE THE ANIMAL’S LIFE.
Get off your high horse and ✨INFORM✨. Help these reptiles get to love life. You don’t know until you know and to punish an animal for its keeper being misled is disgusting. Sure, it could’ve been intentional on the keeper’s part, but it’s highly unlikely. Help the animal or don’t interact with the posts. You’re only hurting the animals.
Obviously we are a reptile organization, but don’t give up hope!! Search for your babies! You NEVER KNOW!
Missing cockatiel found 23 miles from home A friendly cockatiel named Sol went missing from his home in Champlin. He was found two days later in Otsego 23 miles away.
I just want to express some frustration with the culture of reptile groups here on Facebook. We don’t ever recommend dangerous risks to helping your animal, but we need to quit neglecting some care that CAN be provided by us as keepers. Reptile vets are few and far between, and we need to stop watching the decline of these animals without stepping in to help.
Shaming people for their husbandry doesn’t help the animal (and you’re not better than them!)
Shaming people for not doing their own independent research doesn’t help the animal (and you’re STILL not better than them!)
Simply telling someone to get their pet to the vet (mostly) doesn’t help the animal.
Telling someone to surrender or rehome their pet doesn’t help the animal.
Refusing to provide information to help a starving animal (because it could also cause some stress to tissue around the mouth) doesn’t help the animal.
Tissue damage can be treated, but you cannot un-starve a reptile.
With our most recent surrenders (two tortoises and a RES), we have lots of supplies to purchase to upgrade them and get them in their proper setups.
If you are able and feel compelled, we (and these shelled cuties) would be so appreciative! 🫶🏻

Where’d Philip go? All I can find is this rock 🤔
Huge thanks to Liz Brandel who donated TONS of supplies for our scaley (and shelled) friends 🖤
We are so grateful!
I created a petition to stop Petsmart and Petco from selling animals, specifically reptiles/herps. Incorrect information on substrate, temperature/lighting, enclosure size, and feeding is provided to new, unsuspecting customers. This causes the reptile to get sick, not eat, and/or get sassy - all of this leads to rehoming and dumping of reptiles. We’ve seen a huge increase in the dumping of reptiles and it’s becoming a concern for the environment in Minnesota.
—
1️⃣ A HUGE issue with Petsmart/Petco is WHERE they get their small animals to sell. The breeders that they get the animals from often keep them crowded and send animals too young. MANY customers purchase sick animals and allow them to suffer because they don’t know any better.
2️⃣ With small enclosures, reptiles often get stressed and sassy. This leads to rehoming and/or dumping of the reptile because the owner can’t even enjoy their pet.
3️⃣ With incorrect substrate, these reptiles can be poisoned (some woods are dangerous to certain reptiles), get impacted from eating the substrate, or give them scale rot from the substrate holding onto bacteria and sitting on them.
4️⃣ With incorrect lighting/heat, reptiles cannot thrive. They each have their own little environments that need to be provided for their health - hot side, cool side, humidity, basking spot, etc.
5️⃣ With an incorrect diet, these animals are set up for failure. Pelleted food recommended by Petsmart/Petco is not healthy for these reptiles; it’s not super nutritious but it commonly results in dehydrated reptiles. These companies push incorrect feeding standards and don’t recommend varied diets, live insects, or fresh veggies, but they’re also providing incorrect frequencies and quantities for food.
6️⃣ They don’t pay attention to animals that are SOLITARY. They cohabitate species (bearded dragons, leopard geckos) and put these guys in danger. These pets will be missing toes, pieces of their tail, and sometimes their whole feet from their tank-mates attacking them. The employees/stores don’t provide the risks to this purchaser and their pet suffers for it.
When there are small, cute animals, it is easy to impulsively buy a pet (which can be totally ok!) but many customers don’t realize that they’re not being given accurate information and the pet they purchase suffers for it. They s3ll tortoises & turtles that live 20+ years and many are NOT in it for the long-haul. These pets shouldn’t suffer or be thrown out into the wild to d!e.
This campaign needs you now Cease Animal Sales at Petsmart and Petco
A kind person accepted this turtle surrender from a neighbor that was moving. I believe it is a yellow bellied slider. We don’t have the ability to house such a big fella (and we are full), so I’m hoping maybe one of you know where this babe can go?
They’ve exhausted all efforts at this point, but they (WE) care about this buddy’s future. 🙏🏻🖤
‼️ This is not a list of available species, you can check our website for animals available for adoption.
