Bridge of Hearts
Our mission at Bridge of Hearts is creating memorable birthday experiences for underprivileged kids.
Thank you to Patty Gruce, the volunteer leaders of Mission Possible from Davidson United Methodist Church, and the students of Brookstone Academy! The middle school students spent the afternoon making "Have a Great Year" cards and then packing them into hygiene kits for the Back to School Bash at the David B. Waymer Recreation & Senior Center in August. We also appreciated that they brought us gifts of bookmarks and bracelets to support our Celebrating Children's program.
Thank you to Dottie Franks and the girls and moms of the National Charity League Lake Norman who participated in our jewelry making session. They created 95 beautiful bracelets that will go on to the Bling! Table in the gift room to support the Celebrating Children's program.
We so appreciate the girls and moms who are part of National Charity League Lake Norman

Thanks to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office for coming to the rescue! One of our drivers arrived at an ISS school to drop off birthday bags and hygiene items only to find that it was a Teacher Workday and no was there to let them in. But a wonderful deputy sheriff said he would handle getting the bags delivered when the faculty returned. We truly appreciate his help, and so will the children who receive a birthday bag this week thanks to his kindness!
