Please join us in congratulating Dan Elton on winning the Senior Men's Championship of the 2023 Red River Am! Dan was down 2 strokes entering the day, but stormed all the way back and kept on going, winning the Championship by 5!

You know it’s the Final Day of the 2023 Red River Am when the trophies get some fresh air.

The Alley is open, the weather is cooperating so far, and you don’t have to worry about sunburn! It’s all wins out here today. The Seniors are coming down the stretch and the Women’s and Championship flights are about to hit the course.

Today is the day! The Seniors division is on the back nine, the Women’s leaders are up in 20 and the men’s Championship leaders are following them out.

Red River Am Day 2 2023 - Part 1

Here are your incredible leaderboards heading into the Final Round of the 2023 Red River Amateur.

Thanks to 3 birdies in his last 4 holes, Josh Galvin has a 5 stroke lead BUT Lucas Feterl still has those exact 4 holes left to play in his second round!

On the women’s side, Leah Skaar and Becca Tschetter are tied for first at +10 but McKenzie Mages is just one shot back.

And in the Senior Men’s Division, Jeff Nygaard has a 2 shot lead over Dan Elton with 2021 and 2022 Champion Mark Ecklund trailing them.

It’s shaping up to be a great finish in all three divisions. Given the weather we have been experiencing, I will update the page tomorrow with official start times. Come and watch 3 Champions crowned in one afternoon!

We are back bright (?) and early! A reminder for those looking to watch players who didn’t finish their first round, they will be restarting where they left off last night. That starts in 5 minutes.

The official second round starts at 7:30. We’ll play as long as Mother Nature allows and we’ll go from there. Come on out and play in the rain for a bit. We’ve got food, drinks and plenty of great golf to watch.

It’s 9:25 pm and people are putting on 18. That’s dedication.

Those with holes remaining in their first round will tee off at 6:30 am and day 2 of the tournament will start at its originally scheduled time of 7:30 am.

We’re going to need some positive weather thoughts out of all of you tomorrow. Do your part. See you tomorrow!

Regrettably I had to attend a wedding today (who schedules their wedding on Red River Am weekend?!) but I hear they’re out giving a restart a shot. Here’s a snapshot of the tops of the leaderboards.

Bring and umbrella, a couple pairs of socks, and maybe a couple sponges and come on out to the club!

Folks, it’s that time of year again! We’re out here enjoying a beautiful, sunny morning. The first group is 5 minutes away from kicking this off and the Club foolishly allowed me access to the social media accounts to annoy you all again. Should be a fun weekend! Come on out and enjoy the sun while it lasts!
