As we welcome our new part-time Administrative Assistant, Karen Henschke, office hours for the next couple of weeks will be as follows. We are finalizing what the official office hours will be starting Tuesday, September 3rd! Look for more information coming your way soon! 🖤

"Who is my neighbor?" 🏠 The kids and adults of Bethesda spent this week of Vacation Bible School learning about our neighbors all over the world - even right here in our Moorhead community.

VBS truly brought together our young people, our teenagers, some parents, grandparents, and everybody in between. What an example of intergenerational community and relationship building! Together we sang, crafted, gifted, and experienced. Praise be to God!

You also know that we have a Mission Development that is deeply rooted in justice work with folks experiencing homelessness - Table of Mercy. We are uniquely and forever tied to this important ministry in our community.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Churches United has been a cornerstone of support in the Fargo-Moorhead community since 1987, providing shelter, food, and hope to those in need. Today, we face an unprecedented crisis that threatens our ability to continue this critical work. Without immediate financial assistance, we will be forced to close our doors.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

• We need to raise $61,000 by noon on Wednesday to pay our dedicated staff.
• An additional $140,000 is needed by the end of August to keep our operations running.

This is not just about numbers; it’s about the hundreds of individuals and families who rely on us for shelter, food, and a chance at a better life. Without Churches United, many of them will have nowhere else to turn.

Highly anticipated and much needed work is happening at the church because of YOU! Projects continue with our "Building on Faith" campaign - replacing the clear story windows, fixing lights in the sanctuary and new shingles and siding are being replaced right now! Pastor Grant hears lots of stomping above his office, and that is a good thing! 👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾

The third annual Bethesda Music Camp is off to a great start! 🎶🎹 From singing to instruments, and games to live concerts, these kiddos have been able to experience it all first-hand!

Everyone is invited to the program tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. Afterwards, we’ll gather for a picnic! (hot dogs and brats, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon, chips, and ice cream)

Parents, siblings, grandparents, Bethesda members, BAS friends — hope you’ll all join us! 🖤

The leaky, single-pane window in the clearstory of the sanctuary is currently being replaced with new insulated, energy-efficient windows!

This is the first of our “Building on Faith” projects kicking off this week — look for lots more changes in the weeks to come! 👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾

Unite us in prayer, God of peace.
Tonight we lift our hearts in prayer for:
- our whole nation as we bear witness to politically motivated gun violence; turn us toward love and peace.
- those who were physically harmed, including the person who was killed, those in the crowd who were injured, and former President Trump; grant your healing and comfort.
