On July 4th, 1776, the United States declared independence and stood as an international beacon of freedom, justice, and liberty. 248 years later, our Guardsmen stand ready to defend that same freedom.
Celebrate and rest easy. As the integrated training exercise comes to a close, our Airmen are calibrated and prepared to assimilate with any of our sister services or allies to accomplish the mission.

Freedom for All!! 🇺🇸 🦅
Today, we honor Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of resilience, freedom, and the enduring fight for equality. On June 19, 1865, the promise of emancipation finally reached Galveston, Texas, liberating the last enslaved Americans and marking a pivotal moment in our nation’s history.
A special thanks to our guest speaker, Jalani Bakari (Darryl Martin), for his important words on both the national and international impact of this celebration of freedom for all!

Marching through the challenges, soaring to new heights – 2023 was a mission-packed year for the 163d Attack Wing, California Air National Guard. While we couldn't squeeze it all into formation, here are the high-flying highlights that define our year of dedication, resilience, and unwavering service. Salute to a year of triumphs and teamwork!
Accelerate Change or Lose!!
Check out our Guard and Reserve Medics use Augmented Reality (AR) for emergency medicine training.
Because AR doesn't require physical manikins, each EMT is able to train on many different patients and trauma scenarios in quick succession. This diversifies their skill set and keeps them better prepared for the moment they are needed.
The Hap Arnold Innovation Center here at the 163d Attack Wing is always working to innovate and change the ways we traditionally think of doing things.
We will accelerate and change to meet new demands!
