The Mall Library is turning 5! So we're throwing a birthday party. Drop by the mall library on Saturday, December 17th from 11am-4pm for storytimes, S.T.E.A.M arts & crafts gingerbread houses, a cupcake decorating event and indoor carnival games. We hope you'll join us to celebrate together.

Join us at our Kindness Korner at any Riverside Public Library location Tuesday - Saturday this week for a free and fun activity to take home and spread kindness around the community! Kindness Korner is a monthly program done in partnership with the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation.

The Mall Library is celebrating our 5th birthday on December 17th. We're throwing a fun party and we'd love for you all to join us!

As a reminder, the deadline for the School Funding Form was extended to November 18, 2022. Please help our school by stressing the importance of this to members of our school community who have not completed the form yet. The completion of this form has a direct impact on our school funding.

Completing the School Funding Form will only take a few minutes and will positively impact all 32,000 students across our district.

The School Funding Forms are needed to maintain funding for student programs and services, not just meals. There are several benefits for your student as well as your family. In the past, households that qualified for free or reduced meals also qualified for other government benefits such as the EBT pandemic card.

You only have to complete ONE form for your household. The easiest way to complete it is to log in to Q ParentConnection and complete step 7 in your Annual Information Update OR you can visit the link below.

How to Complete the School Funding Form - English

Welcome you to the 2022-23 school year! We are so excited to welcome all our Amazing Kodiaks back on campus on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 and we are looking forward to what is going to be a great school year.

Parents will be allowed on campus on Wednesday, August 10th only. Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms and must leave campus immediately after the students enter their rooms. Please be respectful of our security guidelines at all times. Please remember that at all other times throughout the school year parents must sign in at the front office when visiting campus and must have valid I.D.

Breakfast starts at 7:20 – 7:45 a.m.

Our new start time is 7:45 a.m.
Tk/Kindergarten 7:45a.m. - 1:50 p.m.
Grades 1st-5th 7:45a.m. - 2:05p.m.

For the first 20 days of school Bear Valley will not take any parent request to change a student’s classroom. After the first 20 days of school, parents can make an appointment with an Administrator and classroom teacher to request classroom changes.

We would like to remind all parents/guardians that Annual Information Update needs to be completed for each student returning to school at Q Parent Connection. This is very important so please remember to complete this information as soon as you are able. Q Parent Connection is also where you will find out your child’s teacher.

ParentSquare - Log in or create an account. Check daily for updates and information from the school. The days of paper flyers and phone calls are headed out the door. All schedules, pick up and drop off routines, maps, and communications will come strictly through ParentSquare. This includes contact with teachers as well as notices from the school for events, lock-down updates, volunteer opportunities, administration messages and more.

The look and feel of this school year will be closer to normal. At this time, masks, temperature checks, etc., are not required in Riverside County. However, please take precautions to stay healthy and keep others healthy. If your student is not feeling well, please keep them home. If your student is experiencing Covid like symptoms at school, they may be sent home.

Thank you for your patience and for supporting Bear Valley Elementary. There will be opportunities for you to volunteer this year and we hope you do so. We also have some fun activities planned. It’s going to be great year!

The first day of school is right around the corner! Learn more about how to best support your young child as they prepare to enter Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten for the first time at Kinder Camp on Wednesdays July 27 and August 3 from 4:30pm - 6:00pm.

Together we’ll practice skills, learn activites to try at home, and meet other kids and families who are preparing for the same exciting (but maybe a little scary) milestone!

That’s a wrap. Our Panther community finished up the Superintendent’s Summer Expanded Learning! Thank you to the students, staff and families who participated this year. And a special thank you to the MVC TRIO program for providing the College Connect experience for our students.

Please attend our summer feeding program any Monday-Friday from 10:30 AM - 12 PM until July 29, 2022, at the participating community sites below, as well as all of our school sites with exception to Hendrick Ranch, Serrano, Ramona and Sugar Hill.

Mr. Ray, our head custodian, passed away a few days ago. We are all so devastated and heartbroken by his passing. His memorial service will be on Saturday, July 9th at 10am.

He was truly a beautiful, kind, and loving human being. I know we will all miss him so very, very much. Bear Valley will not be the same without his amazing spirit enveloping our entire campus.

We would like to put together a slide deck from our students to share with his family. This will likely take some time as many families may not know until we return to school, but we'd like to start gathering photos, personal notes, drawings, and even video messages from our Bear Valley family.
