Please folks the need is huge in our City.. most businesses and residents who Donate items don’t donate to Moreno Valley. Making the need here HUGE. This is WHY Building Up Lives Foundation fights hard to stay open and no one gets a paycheck.
The underserved in Moreno Valley gets very little support in Moreno Valley. We are trying to change that ♥️💜💙

Toy Donation boxes are being put into businesses in Moreno Valley.
It is
1. first text/ email, first served.
2. you will need to provide ID and birth certificates for Christmas this year

By this weekend I will have the start of Adopt A Family for Christmas list
and
a Thanksgiving Meal for a Family list.

If you want on the Christmas list i need the following:
(note this is for those who can not afford a Christmas)
1. ages of your children
2. boy or girl
3. needs or wish list

If you want to ADOPT a family, wait for the list and choose your family.
We ask that each child get a gift, and the parents a meal or some type of food.

Yes, both turkey and Christmas you can deliver the gifts to them directly.
Or we can.
However note we do have Domestic Violence survivors and sexual abused victims that you can not meet with.

Building Up Lives Foundation team literally goes out Christmas day with the remaining gifts and we bless many in our community

RULES for FREE items
we giveaway $50-$800 value of items per person and up to $30,000 of inkind for nonprofits each.

If you want FREE items:
1. check back on ( Building Up Lives Foundation page) for the address and dates
2. bring grocery bags
3. bring a $ donation to keep everything going. Every $1 helps with the expenses to bring in more.
4. sign in on the sign in sheet
5. be nice, say “please and thank you “.
6. park proper and not in the road.
7. wear shoes and clothing.
8. you MUST fill out paperwork prior.
9. be nice or get told to leave.. no one is obligated to give you anything. This is a charity. (the voluntary giving of help).
10. read the posts to get information.
11. If you want questions answered we can do that AFTER everything is gone.
12. do NOT take our boxes, tubs or crates.
13. rudeness and inappropriate behavior will get you blackballed and blocked. This means you will not be welcomed to future events including Christmas and ALL giveaways. No volunteer gets paid and we will NOT accept rudeness.
14. if a nonprofit we need your paperwork, gas money, a contact person, and your team MUST to unload.

From what I gather Councilwoman Baca and Mayor Pro Tem Ed Delgado are “not” wanting the city to get the 10 million to help homeless housing in this city.
Deadline for the city to submit this is days away.

I am founder of Building Up Lives Foundation and I agree and disagree with homeless housing here.

We need it !
But, I believe that whoever runs the housing needs to have strict rules. And TEACH them basics .. I just read how a lady recieved a home from a nonprofit and she is not happy with it and wants to sue them. She had no clue she had to pay so many utilities. I say that because you MUST teach them too. And that is NOT easy. I have 4 adults and 7 children we are currently helping and it is NOT easy to teach basics, and deal with street issues.. not all are mentally ill.

Whats that saying, give a man a fish- he eats a day. But teach him to fish and he eats everyday.

Mayor Pro Tem.. can you correct this if i am wrong?
