Twice a year, we survey our families, students and staff regarding school culture and safety. The School Culture and Safety Survey is an important tool to see how well we are doing and will allow us to better support our families, students and staff. We encourage all families to complete the survey!

Today is our first Flex Wednesday for the school year. Grades 1-6 have 12:05pm dismissal, TK/K 11:50pm dismissal.

Good evening! ​We have exciting news! Serrano has partnered with the Riverside University Health System to promote pedestrian and bicycle safety this school year! Not only do ​they model and teach students about pedestrian and bicycle safety, they also promote walking ​to school to exercise. The program team will be outside of our school tomorrow and with our crossing guard to promote the program and they will be providing us items ​for our crossing guard and to ​give to students. Please make sure to wave when ​you pass by!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 9th is the 1st day of school for our Serrano students! We have been busy preparing and are ready to greet you! All classes will be posted on the windows outside the front office at 2pm today, so stop by if you need to check your child's teacher! School starts at 7:45am and breakfast is served 7:10-7:30am. Boo Grams on sale starting today through October 26th! There is a limited supply so get one quick! Students can purchase in the front office during their recess. Parent can also join in and purchase in front office!

Tomorrow starts College Kickoff Day! We are excited to continue encouraging and supporting our students to be college ready! Join us for our theme days!

Please join us for our Annual Title I Parent Meeting this Thursday, October 13th at 4:30pm. This is a great way to learn more about Serrano, what Title I is, and how it supports your child.

Our Serrano Hawks had a blast at our Saturday Innovation School playing Chess, making geometric watercolor art, and Zumba dancing! Our next Saturday Innovation School is November 5th, so make sure you register your child!

Serrano is the place to be for Friday lunch! Our Hawks have the dance moves!

We had our first awards ceremony for the 22/23 school year! Congrats to all our Students of the Month, Superhero's of the Month, and class attendance winners!

Join MVUSD for a day of fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!

Tomorrow is Baseball Theme Day! Represent your favorite baseball team or wear your own baseball/softball jersey! We will knock it out of the park tomorrow!

Tomorrow we will be giving out 30 In-N-out gift cards and free popcorn coupons to use at our Fall Festival for parents who come in and complete the LCFF form or verify they have already completed it! We will be in the office with laptops ready to help you complete the form!

Don't forget to register for our upcoming Saturday Innovation Camp on October 8th 8:30am-12:30pm! All students are welcome, but if your student has been absent, tardy, or left school early this Saturday Innovation Camp clears one! It helps your child and our school! This upcoming Saturday Innovation Camp will have several fun activities-Zumba dance class, STEAM activities, Chess. Come join the fun! Parent can even come and join in the Zumba class! Students attending will get breakfast and lunch!

Calling all Serrano Parents! Please join us for our School Site Council (SSC) meeting this Wednesday, September 28th. This is a great way to have a voice in our school community. Hope to see you there!
