Good luck to all of our besties starting placement & residency this week 🍎😍
We spy a couple of our future teachers 👀 love the work our students are doing while they’re away in the summer!
They’re turning their tassels & headed back to Elementary School this fall 💙💛
So very proud of ALL our Class of 2023 graduates!

ENJOY your summer break—we’ll see you in the fall 🤩
Next up, ✨
JUST KIDDING. We’re a huge fan of the teacher beside him, Audrey Adams! This year, Audrey’s classroom library was destroyed by a flood, but she still made sure her students had access to great books because that’s the kind of human she is ❤️
We got several nominations for this rockstar—Audrey graduated from our program in 2021, and teaches locally at .
Today, we want to take a minute to brag about our School of Education Students of the Year 🎉
Taylor Bleigh & Braelyn Young graduate in 10 short days! Both young women contribute to this university and their students in such an impactful way, and we can’t wait to see the difference they make in the world 🎓
Our Teacher Feature today is Corinne Murdock (right) from Suncrest Elementary 🍎
“She is the BEST because despite all the challenges that come with teaching, she always pushes forward with a positive & caring attitude. It motivated me to become a better teacher every day I was in her classroom. As her student teacher, I was constantly inspired by her perseverance and gentleness in every situation and how she applied her knowledge to create a safe environment for all of her students. She deserves all the recognition and appreciation in the world.”
Submission from ❤️
Kicking off with Sarah Molineu, a rising senior at North Elementary School!
(nominated by Addison Wallace)
“Sarah truly cares about her students & goes out of her way to make sure they’re all taken care of and valued.” 🫶🏼
Did you know next week is Teacher Appreciation Week? 🤓
We want to feature YOU! Head over to our stories and nominate a friend, mentor teacher, etc. to be highlighted for the amazing work they do ❤️
✨Tomorrow ✨
We are so happy to end a successful first year as the College of Applied Human Sciences celebrating YOU!

Fri-YAY 🙌🏼
So excited that our junior cohort received their residency placements & are almost headed into their senior year 🤩

We were so happy to spend the day with potential Mountaineers 💙💛

We are so proud of the work Tea Santilli (junior) & her pals are doing 👯♀️
Tea visited Stepping Stones for a special education course last semester and fell in love with the program. In collaboration with the WVU HipHop Dance Team, she created a HipHop class for students with exceptionalities. Through this opportunity, Tea is building confidence & giving athletes the opportunity for new experiences.
Hey EDUC 200 students: Stepping Stones is the perfect place to get volunteer hours 😉
“When women support each other, incredible things can happen.” ✨ Happy International Women’s Day to our favorite group of future teachers!
Meet Courtney Myers, current junior from Ruffsdale, PA ☀️ after graduation, Courtney plans to return to PA and teach in the Pittsburgh area.
“I chose WVU because I wanted to go to a big school with a hometown feel. I have met some of my best friends within the program, and the professors are extremely knowledgeable and supportive.” 💙
WVU’s Kappa Delta Pi fraternity welcomed its newest members last month—we can’t wait to see the impact these students have on the Morgantown community!
This month, the organization is collecting donations for Scott’s Run Settlement House. You can drop off hygiene products or non-perishable food items to 602 Allen Hall 💛
Did you know? 🤓
Two of our faculty members, Sharon Hayes & Melissa Sherfinski, teamed up to write Rooted in Belonging; a book that examines how a cohort of teacher educators worked alongside their preservice teachers to redesign their teacher education program (hey, that’s us!)
The best part? All profits go to a Pell Grant scholarship 💙
Ms. Noad, Mrs. Corley’s student teacher, practices a new technique, Think See Wonder, using 6 images. It was taught during a Professional Development training with author Tammy McGregor, who visited Pleasant Valley Monday. The technique helps with vocabulary comprehension.
A great opportunity this summer!
