We had a hard time finding individual opponents for and .ginger . So I asked, "would yall be willing to fight some dudes?" They said "Of course, we do it all the time." Then they spit on me, flexed, and powerbombed me through a table.
(That didn't happen)
So I asked and Quintin if they'd be willing to fight some women. They said "Of course, we do that all the time." And I said, "I wouldn't say that out loud fellas." (That sorta happened)

This will be a great match. Brandon and Q weigh in about a combined weight of about 280. Competing out of . Heather and Megan come in at a combined weight of a lady never tells. Comleti g out of . Brandon and Q have some great wrestling experience, but are new to jiujitsu. Heather and Megan have been doing jiujitsu for combined over 15years.

It's gonna be a fun day! Bit of a circus, but that's what we are going for. Big personalities. Big matches.

So, this is my dad. Holding up a trophy from one of my fights some years back. Being a little silly. We're older, and I'm not gonna pretend like what I did and do made sense to him.
I won that fight pretty handily. I came out after and was like "hey dad, what did ya think?" He thought for a second and said, "Well, it's not the dumbest thing you've ever done."
Coming from him, thats basically approval, so I'll take it.

Work ethic and patience. I had to learn it from somewhere because my natural state is slack and knee-jerk react. So I am very lucky to have him as a role model and support me.

The gym wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. So say thanks to pop if ya see him.

We're starting to transition our curriculum from self defense and assault prevention to SubGrappling and JiuJitsu for awhile. JiuJitsu is a game. It's a game that helps you learn to fight. But its not fighting. Not by itself. That's something people need to understand. JiuJitsu has matches. Not fights. The words are different for a reason.
So let's play the game and have fun doing JiuJitsu stuff!
Come get better at the game and develop your skills and mind. We will be talking about:

* Principles of control and positioning and how those lead to Submission
* How movement translates to technique and how technique translates to application
* Effective competition and combat mindsets and the differences
* Will cover basic and advanced concepts and techniques
* Will use the drills and games we have developed to reinforce skills with micro-drills, task based games, and chain drills

Cheyenne started training with me a long time ago. I'm old now and she's still young and that's not fair but that's life. Lol
I've always said "She gets it." A lot of people who wanna fight just don't get it. They're all over the place on what they wanna do and how they train. Not Cheyenne. She gets it. Multiple sessions a week. Conditioning. Improvement. She's fun. She's feisty. And she fights. That's why she's awesome.
After she moved away and started training with I watched her grow as a fighter and person from a bit more distance. They've treated her so well and it makes me happy to see.
As I see the people that start with me and make their way through life, as they grow, my heart grows.
