As we recognize Juneteenth, we reflect on the ongoing journey toward freedom and justice, values deeply embedded in the mission of our profession. Social workers play a crucial role in advocating for racial equality and supporting the empowerment of all communities. Today, we honor the significance of this day by reaffirming our commitment to dismantling systemic racism, standing in solidarity with the Black community, and fostering a society grounded in equity and respect.
