Happy fall! Did this fun, simple design on my client for fall/thanksgiving! So fun and elegant.

My client/friend Tyler was on vacay for a few weeks. She got back this week. It was so nice to see and catch up with her! Also, she always picks fun colors!! It was a long six weeks without you and your sparkling light! 💜

A fun little gel manicure! I don’t think I’ll ever draw anything intricate but it is fun to play around! I’m grateful that my clients are willing to let me explore my creative side.

Look at these beauties!! I love purple!! Toni ordered a bunch of nail decals to have fun with on her nails. We went with a more subtle look this time so the color could be the star of the show.

So, I wanted to introduce myself. Hi, my name is Dionne. I have been working in the nail industry for 25+ years. I am a mother to an amazing young woman. My favorite color is purple. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. I have been told that I have a "dark" sense of humor and I take that as a compliment,lol. I just turned 50,WTF! I can't decide which I like better-the beach or the mountains- I guess it depends on the day. I am originally from California but have lived here in Florida for 30 years. That is crazy to think about!! And I love my clients!! They add so much to me and my life! That is all for now! I'll reveal more another time:)

Hello!! I have been living life and have not been posting much on here. Now that got some of my "ducks in a row" I can get back to things that I have left unattended!
This is a pic of my new logo!! I am so excited to share this with you all! I will be changing the name of my page too! Instagram and FB are "approving" the change. Hopefully, sooner rather than later and easier than it seems to be going...Either way, it is one step closer!

Well, this is the last appointment for my daughter for a while. She has moved to NYC to start her first job!! So excited for her new adventure!! Also, miss her tremendously!!!

It was so good to see Karen. She has been out of town visiting her kids and grandkids over the summer. She did not get her nails done while she was gone, meaning that it had been over a month since her last fill! Outside of growth her nails looked perfect! Damn I'm good!!

A new favorite for Susie! It's a color that is good year round, especially here in Florida!

This gel manicure makes me think of two things 1. a peacock 2. evil eye. What do you think?

Marc Jacobs and I have the same favorite color?!?! I feel like I've found my long lost brother 😂 'Cause it would stink if you walked out of the nail salon with dull nails! Even matte finish has it's own bit of shine ✨

Toni and I have been having fun with dots lately. Not too much, just a little something extra. Still getting comfortable with the nail art. I should practice some stuff for the holidays that are coming up...I'll do that in my spare time haha 🤦

Kat always holds the crystal prop in just the right way! It can be challenging for others, lol. Maybe I need a bigger crystal so that it will fit better to different sized hands. Anyway, we are having fun (seeing what we can get away with 😉) trying out some nudes! I love nudes!

Last week was the first "regular" week I have had in a while. It feels good! But it's not gonna last long, lol. I'm working different days because Malia and I are driving to New York to get her moved in and started on the next chapter of her life. So exciting!

Thankfully, I get to share this adventure with friends/clients! I think Floridians are ready for the heat to subside and it seems to be showing in their polish color choices, haha. I don't know if that's true but it seems to be coinciding!

With all the hand washing and sanitizing our hands get dry, old looking and dehydrated! Plus, if you are at the beach orspending a lot of time in the pool=chlorine, this canadd to the dryness and dehydration. It is really important to moisturize not only with lotion but also cuticle oil. I make my own blend of cuticle oils. They are all natural and delicious for your nails. Prayers for my client Teresa. She found out recently that she has breast cancer. Thankfully, she caught it early. Her and her doctors are making plans for eradication. I hope this hour of self-care helped in some way.

Re-arranged the polishes!! It was so satisfying!! I paired the gel polish with the regular polish, for those that like to be matchy-matchy. There are several regular polishes that I NEED to get in gel as well. I have been into a couple nail salons and I am always so surprised at the lack of selection and the gross-ness of their display. I like mine neat and orderly, as I'm sure my clients do as well.

The other half of Sharon's appointment. This is CND Plexigel with CND Shellac polish. It's still summer in florida, lol.

Today the hubs treated Sharon to her pedicure and fill. What a good man! She's so sweet and loving I can see why!! I always enjoy "hanging out" with Sharon. Well, I enjoy time all my clients-I click with each of them in a different way. I am really grateful for all them and all that they bring to the table. I have learned and grown so much through these relationships. Thank you!

I know tthe middle one is crooked, ugh! Oh well, these are the nudes from the OPI Malibu collection. I can't wait to try them all!! The ones I have gotten to see on people are so pretty!! Nobody has tried the brown or terracota-y one...I guess I will have to try them and show my clients how pretty they are...it's a thing-if I wear a color then my clients will most likely follow suit,lol.

Getting ready for a birthday trip to New Orleans!! Just by chance Kat picked this color that is part of OPI's New Orleans collection, lol. She is in nursing school so she has not been able to wear any fun colors, until now. She is on a short break after that it is back to natural colors again.

Probably one of the last pedicures that I will get to do on my daughter before she moves to NEW YORK!! I am so beyond proud of her!! She just graduated with her Master's in Speech and Language Pathology at FSU! She starts her job in the beginning of September. I am so grateful to get to spend some time with her before she moves (she's home until then).

She came in to get her fingers and toes done for her trip to see her longtime friend Kaitlyn, in San Francisco. Plus, she got to see her godfather Derrick and his husband too!! 💜

Joanne is headed to Sanibel Island for the week with her grand-daughter. We painted this sun with an ocean like color for some fun beach vibes. Originally, the sun was supposed to be more of a swirl 🍥 with sun rays. Believe it or not, painting a swirl is more challenging than you think! I will have to practice on a fake nail with other tools and see what works best...

My client Toni is having so much fun with these dots as an accent to her gel manicure. We have done them in varying colors for her last three visits! Just a little something extra to make her smile every day...mission accomplished!

I look always look forward to seeing whay color Debbie will bring in for her toes each week. She never disappoints! This one is "in the books" as one of my favorites. Between you and me, I think she may have a polish addiction. She told me that she had two colors with her, then went into Ulta and bought this one too, LOL. She says she does not have as many polishes as I do but I'm not sure I believe her 😂

Miss Jocelyn such a sweet lady! She's one of my newer clients, 3 yrs. now. She is one of my "older than me" clients. I don't say "older" because that is far from the truth, meaning she/they are so young at heart, body and soul. Such a joy and add so much richness to my life!! I learn so much from them all! Thank you!!

Some colors just make you smile when you see them, and this one of them! I think Debbie has used this one three times so far this year! She always brings in some of the best colors and we always have so much fun when she comes in. Probably because of the sh! # that comes out of my mouth, at times LOL. It's nice to feel safe to be yourself with someone, thanks Debbie! There are others that make it safe too, you know who you are, thanks to you as well!!

One of my friends brought in several colors that she wasn't using, last week, this is one of them. I had forgotten about this great color!! Always fun to re-discover an old favorite!

I have been having so much fun practicing some simple nail art with a couple of clients! Those of you that want to join in the fun, let me know at your next appt.! I need your help in remembering to offer it to you! When I start playing around like this, my creative juices start flowing, they trigger inspiration on so many ways for so many things! I love it!!! I needed to see this today! I have been a little down on myself for not being consistent with the daily/weekly actions of maintaining and growing my business. I try remember that even though I am not as consistent as I would like to be, at least I am doing something, and that is better than nothing. For many years, I didn't do anything. So by doing a little something, however inconsistently it may be, is a big win!! I hope whoever needs to see and read this, does!

So true!! One minute you are out having fun at the beach playing frisbee, the next minute a nail breaks...of course,it's usually the index, middle, or ring finger...and everything is thrown off!! Or the other "famous" one-I was changing the sheets and...*Note to self-do not make beds/change sheets or over exert when at the beach, haha 😀

I do my own nails and have been ever since I started doing nails. Depending on how I'm feeling (lazy), sometimes my right hand looks a little like the one shown in this meme. Usually, the LAST thing I want to do is my own nails!! However, I am also very picky, so I won't subject another tech to that, haha!

If you cannot tell... she's crossing her legs because she has to go potty, lol. But those are the old days now that we have gel polish and dip powder systems! No "dry time" with those types of enhancements. Appointments available!
