Hi all! I’m sure some of you check on FB for some ongoing news and events, and I’m sure you’ll notice a lack of posts. Public Service Announcement for people like me who forget holidays- Valentine's Day is approaching! Here's a few meaningful/fun/creative V-Day presents and ideas for those with similar souls to mine!

* Gift cards to their favorite places
* Hand-picked wildflowers
* Handwritten letters instead of cards
* Cook a meal you've both never tried before
* Breakfast in bed
* Book a photography session for memories to look back on (if you're shy about reaching out to book a session, don't worry- I am too! I promise- no pressure, no BS, just a humble human ready to help you)
* A full day of games/movies/reading/sleeping
* A weekend road trip
* Books! A million books! Just buy every single book you ever come across and give them as presents (or just one or two- whichever is "more realistic" for you)
* A creative date night- i.e. painting portraits of one another, cooking a meal with a few ingredients chosen by one another, trivia
* Burger challenge! (Buy a burger from 3-5 different restaurants and blindly taste them, trying to determine where they are from! You could do other foods, too)
* Go on a hike for the day
* Bonus to hiking: paint a scenery (even if its not Monet quality), write some poetry under the trees, or take photos of beautiful moments

These are just some ideas to encourage you to get out of the typical "commercial" Valentine's Day mindset. Most of these you can do by yourself as well if that is how you spend your holiday! Dont be afraid to choose yourself for Valentines Day (or any day).

Do you ever get clients that just hit your soul in the right way? This wedding was one of those.
When that music turned up, all the guests jumped on the dance floor without hesitation. Laughter, smiles, hugs, and so much more was abundant here. I walked away from this client with a new sense of eager happiness for life and my loved ones.

✨1. I am an Enneagram 9, The Peacemaker, which means I avoid confrontation at all costs! It also means I'm very easy-going, ambitious, and welcoming.
✨2. T-shirts and jeans are my go-to outfits
✨3. I enjoy making jokes and acting goofy to lighten the mood
✨4. My favorite part about taking photos is editing the images and reliving the moments!
✨5. I live in an RV with my husband and two boys, which we intend on taking across the country in the future.
✨6. I enjoy the heck out of video games!
✨7. I secretly wish I could time-travel to relive history!
✨8. I am a Cancer, I like to make sure everyone feels comfortable and like they have someone to confide in.
✨9. I don't drink wine, its just not for me.
✨10. I'm an artist! I don't stop at photography. I've enjoyed painting and drawing since early school years, even having some of my work displayed in an art museum in my hometown!

My ultimate goal in this life is to leave behind something for everyone. We all deserve to love ourselves and feel loved by our community.

Crystal & Matt's Wedding - East Tennessee Photographer || Nomadic Land Photography Crystal and Matt managed to choose the one sunny day of the week, luckily. Before their wedding, storms lasted nearly a week and the wet grounds were a challenge to get outdoor images I usually strive for. ✨It's us vs. the world

Yesterday I woke up with adventure rattling through my bones. I packed my camera, laced up my boots, and dragged my husband along. Can you believe this is the first picture we have taken together in over a year? We've been married 5 years with only a handful of photos together. How freaking sad.
This year, I want to focus on the time we spend with ones we love. I want to capture images to create little bookmarks of moments in my life, as well as my clients.
