wow I didn't realize this:

Please understand what NOT using cash is doing !!!
Cash is important!
Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card?
- I have a $50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the bill to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the bill to pay the barber. The barber will then use the bill for shopping. After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a $50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made...
- But if I come to a restaurant and pay digitally - Card, and bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around $1.50 and so will the fee $1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the
laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc..... Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial $50 will remain only $5 and the remaining $45 became the property of the bank thanks to all digital transactions and fees
Small businesses need your help and this is one way to help ourselves too. Pull small draws of cash out at a time and use that instead of tap, credit, etc.
When this is put into perspective, imagine what each Retailer is paying on a monthly basis in fees at 3% per transaction through their POS machine. If they have, for example, $50,000 in sales & 90% are by Card, they are paying $1500 in fees in ONE Month. $18,000 in a year! That comes out of their income every month. That would go a long way to helping that small business provide for its family!

Public service announcement...with a picture!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words. We always emphasize the importance of closing your bedroom doors when you go to sleep. Even these cheap six panel hollow core doors will buy you time in a fire. Look at how no smoke or heat made it into the bedroom. Now look in the hallway! Also look where the most damage is… Up high. This is why we preach to get down low if you have smoke or fire in your home. Practice that home escape plan and Close Before You Doze!!!!

Good stuff!!!

They ran to the groceries, they filled up their carts,
They emptied the Tops and Price Chopper and Walmart,
They panicked and fought and then panicked some more,
Then they rushed to their homes and they locked all the doors.
The food will be gone! The milk eggs and cheese!
The yogurt! The apples! The green beans and peas!
The stores have run out, now what will we do?
They’ll be starving and looting and nothing to do!
Then they paused, and they listened a moment or two.
And they did hear a sound, rising over the fear,
It started out far, then began to grow near.
But this sound wasn’t sad, nor was it new,
The farms were still doing what farms always do.
The food was still coming, though they’d emptied the shelves,
The farms kept it coming, though they struggled themselves,
Though the cities had forgotten from where their food came,
The farms made them food every day, just the same.
Through weather and critics and markets that fall,
The farms kept on farming in spite of it all.
They farmed without thank yous.
They farmed without praise.
They farmed on the hottest and coldest of days.
They’d bought all the food, yet the next day came more,
And the people thought of something they hadn’t before.
Maybe food, they thought, doesn’t come from a store.
Maybe farmers, perhaps, mean a little more

An interesting bit of history!!!

John Deere, American blacksmith and manufacturer of “the plow that broke the plains,” was born this day in 1804. Upon removing from his native Vermont to Grand Detour, IL he discovered that farmers were struggling to break through the tangle of roots of the native prairie grasses. Additionally, the sticky clay necessitated frequent cleaning of the wooden or cast-iron blade. Deere forged a broken steel sawmill blade into a plow that was self-scouring. It worked so well that word quickly spread, and demand grew.

Deere was an innovator in business as well. He began mass-producing the plows, rather than waiting until he had orders for them. That way the farmer could see what he was getting and did not need to wait. In 1848, he relocated his business to Moline, IL because the city was a transportation hub on the Mississippi River. By 1857, the company was producing 1,120 farm implements a month including wagons, corn planters, and cultivators. John Deere insisted on excellence stating, “I will not put my name on a product that does not have in it the best that is in me.” His company also cared about the farmers they served. It is said that they never repossessed any equipment from American farmers during the Great Depression.

Farmers in the free states were quicker to adopt technological innovations in farming than their southern counterparts. By 1860, they had nearly twice the value of farm machinery per acre and per farm worker as did the slave states. As a result, in 1860, Northern states produced half of the nation’s corn, four-fifths of its wheat, and seven-eighths of its oats.

*The plow shown is part of the Smithsonian collection and is believed to be one of the first three plows that John Deere personally forged.

Our Story

Shortly after having founded Eastern Tennessee Preppers, which is a 1200+ member Meetup group based on preparedness education, community awareness, and networking, I began receiving requests from members and nonmembers alike to help them find property in the area for their retreat locations. Others were just about to retire and looking for that perfect piece of land to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life, while yet others wanted to get into farming or start Homesteading like their parents or Grandparents did years ago.

The common theme among most of them was they knew they wanted to move but didn't know what to look for or how to go about the whole daunting task. Having been through the whole process myself years before I knew what they were feeling and going through. I found myself in the unique position of being able to help them out as I had spent years researching where to move, what to look for in land and acreage, as well as the hidden costs and time frames involved. They were able to benefit from my years of research and analysis and over two years of vacations spent hunting land and walking properties. I was able to cut the "learning curve" and save them from driving the countless miles and the cost of gas, food, and hotel rooms that I had while in pursuit of our dream property.

I also found I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the land and its unique features all while trying to find people that perfect piece of property and help them start the next chapter of their lives. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to "hang the hat up" on my 20 year career in Restaurant Management and get my real estate license so I can help people relocate to this beautiful area we call East Tennessee. Whether you are buying or selling, I have the knowledge and insight to either find the perfect place to hang your hat or the means to find a buyer who values the property just as much as you do. So please contact me at 1-904-233-9002 or [email protected] and let me know how I can help you.
