**Reminder: CBTECH Summer School Programs Begin Tomorrow!**
We are excited to announce that our CBTECH Summer School programs start tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th. Classes will run from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and lunch will be provided.
Important details for the first day:
- Students will need to purchase the required "blue CBTECH T-shirt" on the first day of class. Teachers will accompany students to the office for their shirt purchases.
- Please ensure your student brings $15 for the T-shirt.
We understand that parents may want to come in today to handle this, but we kindly ask you to wait until tomorrow. Due to the end of the regular school year last week, campus staffing is minimal today as we complete Year-End tasks.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to a fantastic start to our summer programs!
We made it!
Our great leader and director Christine Armstrong was awarded as one of the MLSD employees of the year. Congratulations! We appreciate your leadership and passion for CBTECH
Director's Message
CBTECH has ended the regular school year, and summer school is about ready to commence. This has been the BEST year we have ever had. Our students were more motivated, had better attendance, and with positive attitudes on a daily basis. We saw more students pushing the envelope to strive for the “next level” whatever that may be.
I want to thank our students for making us all better people, standing up for what is right, and leaving here better than when they came in August. I want to thank the parents for sharing their students with us, the community for standing behind us, the businesses for donating time and money to help us mold our students, and the teachers for holding students accountable while loving each and every student.
Chad Utter, the Dean of Students tells the students on the first day of CBTECH in the Fall that “CBTECH will change you for the better if you let it.” Thank you for letting us turn you into the next highly productive workforce for Grant County and beyond!
Christine Armstrong

CBTECH/OHS Welding student Diego Betancourt stopped by to say farewell to several of his supporters. Diego earned his welding certification and has a handful of job offers already lined up. He will start his summer by working for Public Works and is considering a job offer in Oregon in the future. CBTECH is extremely proud of the hard work he's put in this year.
We've been enjoying our students a little more these last few days of school. Our seniors have worked so hard and we're absolutely loving our last few days with them on campus.

During our Manners Meal event, students learn about the significance of table manners and proper lunch/dinner etiquette. In an era where corporate settings increasingly employ meals as occasions to assess prospective candidates, we prioritize equipping our students with the necessary skills to make these interactions successful. Our students also get the opportunity to savor tasty dishes prepared by our culinary students all while learning and getting to know other students from different programs since seating is chosen at random.
CBTECH Welding students Aram Garnick, Kass Kimble, Jesus Camacho Perez, and Omar Contreras are workforce ready for sure! Today these students earned their AWS Welding Certification and we here at CBTECH are super proud, job well done boys. We anticipate more certifications for them along with other students in the near future.
The CBTECH cafe will be closed Wednesday for afternoon (PM) session due to our school wide manners meal.
We WILL be open for AM session. We look forward to serving you tomorrow between 8:30-10:00 am.
Normal schedule will resume Thursday and Friday.
Today was the start of the CBTECH Fire Science students three day community service project! They started by teaching water safety to the Moses Lake Christian Academy through the Washington State Parks and Rec Paddle Safe Program. Each student gets fitted with a life jacket to keep, learns how to safely maneuver a kayak, and spends the afternoon paddling a few miles around Moses Lake. After that they stocked the boat launch with new life vests in case anyone needs one, and collected all the loose garbage around the park. The Fire Science students are determined to continue to make this world a better place.
We here at CBTECH appreciate our teachers. They go above and beyond to get our students workforce ready! We'd love to hear what CBTECH teacher made an impact on you. Let them know in the comments.
