“They know what gets more reorders, the speed of shipping and if a product isn't moving," shares an Ohio retailer of why she prefers ordering through reps. "They are a huge resource if you can develop a relationship with them.”

Why are we talking about reps today? In the current issue, store owners shared all the ways in which they source, and reps came out as the top sourcing method, ahead of shows, purchasing directly through in-house reps and sites like Faire.

The value of a great rep is often under-valued and all too often unsung. Today, we salute the integral role they play in our industry's success 👏

Reps are the field reporters of our industry. They are on the front lines, talking to store owners, visiting stores across the country and witnessing in real time the challenges store owners face. Savvy vendors take the knowledge their reps have to offer and create better products and customer service methods.
