What a wonderful opportunity it was to welcome back one of our own, OLL alum Father Steve. He returned to our school as a guest priest while Father Peter is on sabbatical. Father Steve grew up right here in Mound and lead us all on a walk down memory lane as he described the many changes to our building from when he was here as a student! We had the special honor Father Steve leading our Back-to-School Mass and our first All-School Mass of the year. 💙💛💙

🎓 This just in: Holy Family Catholic High School 2024 Graduation Issue 🎓

We are incredibly proud of OLL alumni Phoebe Johnson for being a Mary Medal recipient! 🌟 This honor is voted on by staff and is awarded to those who demonstrate a strong, mature faith in Christ while actively participating in the life of the church. Phoebe has remained an active member of our OLL community, she even spoke to our prospective Kindergarten parents at this year Kindergarten Round up! Congratulations, Phoebe, on this outstanding achievement! 🎉

This July, Our Lady’s CCW will award two $1,000 scholarships and two $500 scholarships to female OLL parishioners.

The St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton scholarship will be awarded to two 2024 high school graduates with a grade point average of 2.5 or above and who will be pursuing vocational training or post-secondary education at an accredited institution during the 2024-25 school year. https://www.ourladyofthelake.com/ccw-hs-scholarship/

As a part of this wonderful Gala package, ArchBishop Hebda will join our 4th grade class following the mass for a special meet and greet with tasty treats courtesy of Cardigan Donuts. A huge thank you to the Archbishop and Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, of Minneapolis, and our generous Gala bidder for creating this opportunity for our school and our 4th grade class. The urge is to gape as you realize these indigenous animals are much bigger than expected. Staying safe on the lee side of the range fence, the splendor and serenity of the scene inspires a feeling that this is the way life should be. Away from the city, away from the noise, a place to simply be and grow. Of course, it's a lot of work taking care of these great beasts, sacred to the Native Tribes of North America.

Matt and Sarah Skoglund will tell their story of leaving the city and making a new life in Big Sky Country, and maybe a few of those gathered will consider making their own life-changing plans.

Chefs Jarrett Wrisley and Candice Lin know a bit about changing things up. After 13 years running restaurants in Thailand, they packed up during the pandemic and road-tripped through the Rockies, eventually settling in Bozeman. Their new restaurant, Shan, showcases distinctly local ingredients with flavors and techniques common in the hillside regions of China and Thailand.

Expect Thai flavors with a smattering of Sichuan style and a bit of Japanese Izakaya influence, all while maintaining an undeniable Montana identity.

This year's Fund-a-Need will be used to transform the play area between the two playgrounds and the soccer field by the lake into a vibrant green oasis, fostering not just play, but the development of essential social skills and a lifelong love for outdoor activity.

We received a $10k matching grant from CSCOE which means we need 10 - $1000 donors to meet this match. We are grateful for anyway you can help bring this vision to life. You may venmo or mail in your gift. Your contribution will lay the groundwork to ensure our play areas remain green, inviting, and safe year-round.
