Some decisions are truly difficult to Ponder... Me? Boston Cream Pie, easy day.
Foreign Black Border (FBB) cards are some of my favorite Old School cards to collect. They can be a great way to snap up higher end 93/94 at a much smaller price point than their ABU counterparts. I find German in particular to be a fun language with its very literal translations.
Some very simple alters on a playset of FBB Lord of Atlantis. The original "Lord" cards which has been reprinted or seen dozens of other variations and effects in the history of the game.
Something about this iconic color pallet of blue, orange, purple, and lime green has made this card a favorite of mine since I was 13 years old. Wanted to extend the art every so slightly to just make him "pop" a tad more.
NFS, will be using these in a "Su1c1de Blue" Old School deck at some point. PM me for Commissions, I'm just starting to sell my work, so my prices are very fair for the work you'll get!

Revised Edition Wheel of Fortune.
For my personal Old School collection. PM me now to discuss commissions!
This was Very Heavily Played, bordering on damaged. Feels like it has a new lease on life.
I love mixing it up with the floating borders, making little changes in perspective. Trees always lend very well to this style.
Laying some paint down on some luxury cardboard this evening!
"Splendid! We have been without an interpreter since our master got angry with our last protocol droid and disintegrated him."
EV-9D9 as Hell's Caretaker.

Floating border on some Revised Edition Birds of Paradise.
Birds of Paradise, or "BoP" or just "Birds" is one of the original mana fixers from the game's earliest years. Providing early game ramp in multiple colors, a flying body to chump block in the late game, or even a threat with a Giant Growth or Berserk tacked on. Birds are always useful and continue to see play as a staple in many formats.
So, the big question remains..
Do you Bolt the Bird???
Vampiric Tutor based off an inconic image from the 1922 Silent Film "Nosferatu."
Vampiric Tutor is a powerful card because of it's instant speed effect, a rare thing when it comes to tutors.
I am a horror ju**ie and I like incorporating horror imagery into my card alters. I'm working on a fun piece for my personal colletion at the moment, which is art from one of my favorite 80s horror flicks and another iconic magic card.
Nothing feels better than this in Old School. Although getitng an Ancestral Recall with REB feels pretty sweet too.
Lord of the Pit floating border. One of the all time classic beaters in the history of Magic. Still a fun "one of" in the Old School 93/94 format.
I've always loved this card because it embodies the color wheel of the original design of Magic perfectly. Sure, you can get a 7/7 flying and trample beat-stick, but it's gonna cost you to feed him... and if you don't provide sacrifices to him, he turns on you.
I always liked the idea of using Preacher from The Dark to steal your opponent's stuff and sac to him, or to get a Spirit Link on him to offset the life loss.
What are some ways you've seen to make this classic fatty work?
Solemn Simulacrum, or better known affectionately as "Sad Robot."
I thought an Imperial Probe Droid exploring the vastness of the ice planet Hoth would be a fitting subject for this alter.
"It's a good bet the Empire knows we're here"
A collection of Alters that I have done. Not in chronological order, but this is good sampling of my style and capabilites.
