It’s been awhile, but I haven’t gone anywhere. I was busy making this. Her name is Vivian and she’s 9 days old. Hope to sharpen my rusty drawing skills in these early days, and paintings will happen again eventually. ❤️

Sometimes I have to re-transfer my lines between paint layers if things have gotten shifty. Do you have any questions about my process? I’ll try to answer them later today!

My older phone auto “corrects” the color to make it far more cool and washed-out than it really is, but that’s what imagination is for!

I only took two photos when it was on the easel, so I included some of my reference photos. I created this imaginary child’s face with morphing software. I used about 8 different photos I got online and morphed them together in various percentages until the face was exactly how I wanted it. Then I used the morphed image and a bunch of other photos as reference for the painting.
