Mt. Juliet Animal Care & Control

We're always hesitant to share the sad parts of animal rescue, but the fact is we face suffering and loss often.
This little guy is Belize. He was found in a yard, with a nasty eye infection. He was so covered in fleas he is anemic; they were literally bleeding him dry. He has an upper respiratory infection as well, and is far too skinny.
While he has a chance at recovery, his sister Rica, a sweet little gray fluff ball, was too sick to survive, and passed in our Officers arms. Too often we see this in our community; it's a grim reminder of how important it is to spay and neuter our cats, especially our outdoor friends. Please wish little Belize well on his journey to recovery.

After 48 days of waiting for her forever mum, Janis Joplin has been adopted. We are over the moon with excitement for this sweet girl. Congratulations Janis, on finding your furever mum.

Harvey update...surgery went well. He is back at the shelter resting.

Dear friends and fellow animal lovers,

It is with a broken heart that we must tell you that our dear little Amarillo passed away from complications during her surgery yesterday. She fought all the way, but her little body just couldn’t take anymore.

We want to thank all our donors from the bottom of our hearts. Please know her last days were filled with comfort and love, and her passing was peaceful and painless.

All proceeds will now go to Harvey, our big boy who also needs an amputation. He is doing well and will be getting the procedure ASAP. We will give updates as he continues to get stronger and hopefully recover.

Any leftover funds will go to more kittens in need, as we are sure to get more sick, injured, and abandoned babies as kitten season marches on.

Again, thank you all for your support. The outpouring of love for these little kitties has made this sad news a little easier to bear.

For 24 hours we are having a shirt sale to raise money for 2 special kitties at the shelter. These precious kitties need leg amputations, and we thought what better way to fundraise than with a shirt sale. Everyone loves t-shirts!!! Shirts will be shipped to the shelter June 1, 2024.
