Warrior agriculture teacher Ms. Sullivan is teaching STREAM for Summer Learning Camp at Springdale Elementary School (Grades K-4).Students have learned about Pillbugs, Robots, Gravity and Buoyancy’s effect on boats, Spiders, Temperature and more!

Warrior teachers are so excited about their new spaces that they have been popping in to work on classrooms! 8th grade social studies teacher Mrs. Beziat is definitely making progress!!

A big Warrior welcome to our new baseball coach, Matthew Cohick!
Coach Cohick is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a 2013 graduate from South Broward High School where he was an All-District player. At the colliegate level he played at Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida (NAIA) then landed at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky (NAIA). He was chosen as a captain for the university and received the Champions of Character Award as well as River-States Conference Scholar Athlete Award during his final season. He helped coach a summer baseball club in Pompano Beach, Florida in 2015. That group eventually consisted of 8 college players that played at levels in D1 all the way into the NAIA level. In 2016 he was involved with Perfect Game Recruits as an Assistant Tournament Director for the Ohio Valley Region. After graduation, he moved to Nashville and worked with the Knights Baseball organization for over two years. He then landed at Lebanon High School and was their pitching coach for one season with Coach Wakefield. He also took on the responsibility as the H.S. Program Director for 5 Star National Midsouth. Year 1 they started with 59 players inside the program for just the high school age group, and within a year doubled in size. Since 2018 he has been an essential part in the relationship-building inside the college baseball recruiting community, and has helped over 100+ high school athletes inside the 5 Star program find a home to play at the next level. He has coached athletes like Brendan Jones (Kansas State), Jared Vetetoe (MTSU), Carson Boles (Lincoln Memorial), Jackson Cauthron (Ohio University) and many more high level athletes still playing at the college level today. He has been a part of the program for over 6 years, and continues to coach and lead the organization today. He currently coaches their 5 Star Midsouth 2025 National group, and does private instruction out of Strike Zone Academy.

He has been married to his wife Mackenzie for 5 years, and has two children Rankin (3) and Coast (1). He’s excited to bring the experience he has had inside the West Wilson baseball program. He looks forward to creating a culture that lives up to the standards that is West Wilson. To truly embrace the mentality and philosophy of becoming a “warrior.” He is passionate for the game, and he couldn’t be more excited to get things going for the student-athletes at the school.
