Lonesome Sparrow Quilts and Keepsakes

Memory quilts, bears, pillows, and custom quilts. All profits donated to Compassion International's

My family has been blessed by foster adoption, and we feel strongly that children should be with their birth parents if at all possible. All proceeds from my business are donated to Compassion International's Child Survival program, which helps babies and mothers in poverty across the globe. https://www.compassion.com/how-we-work/child-survival-program.htm

That's a wrap on all 2023 projects!

Thank you to all my customers this year. Because of your business, I've been able to donate over $4000 to Compassion International's "Where Most Needed" fund.

Here are a few pictures of some recent projects, though many are not pictured as they will be given as Christmas gifts!

Mid-year update! It's been a bit of a slow start to the year, but I've actually been thankful for that. I've had a lot going on in other areas of my life, and that's why this is a part-time business!
That being said, I have some time this summer and definitely time this fall to get to any and all projects. Get your Christmas orders in now and beat the rush! I almost always have to turn people away by November, so earlier is always better.

Thank you to all my customers in 2022! I was able to donate over $5,000 to Compassion International this year! Global childhood hunger is a huge issue due to the turmoil this past year, so I am especially thankful to be able to help in this way.
Here are a few creations from 2022, and I'm officially open for 2023 orders!

After enjoying a relaxing August break, I am once again accepting orders. Now is the time to think about any holiday projects!

As a reminder, I add projects to my queue based on when the items are dropped off at my house.

It's been a busy first half of 2022! Lots and lots of quilts and a few bears.
My favorite project was creating a set of 6 grandkid quilts from their grandma's collection of jackets. All the quilts share one block from her favorite!

With summer coming and lots of projects still to get to, I'm not going to be accepting any new orders until September. Hoping to have some time to enjoy the warm weather!

First quilts of the new year! I especially love how the flannel shirt one turned out, it's soooo soft and cozy.

My quilts are all made using traditional quilting techniques: pieced top layer, 1/4 inch cotton batting, premium cotton fabric backing, and machine quilting to hold it all together. This requires more work than a t-shirt blanket (squares sewn together and then backed with just a layer of fabric), but I feel it creates a higher quality product. My quilts can be machine washed/dried and will last for a lifetime!

Happy New Year! 2021 was my busiest year ever, I basically doubled my business from 2020. Thanks to all my customers, I was able to donate $7000 to Compassion International's "Where most needed" fund! 🥳 I'm so grateful for all your business and your word-of-mouth advertising. 🥰

That being said, I burned myself out with a combo of moving and taking on too many orders near the holidays. So I am enjoying a few weeks off (and decorating my house!).

I will begin taking orders again *beginning January 19th*.
If you've already contacted me about an order in the last few months, you can drop off your labeled materials anytime after January 19th. I will also be messaging you in case you don't see this post.

All orders are added to my queue based on the date you drop them off. Please plan ahead; my busiest months are April (graduation) and November (holidays). If you know you have a project for one of those events, I recommend getting them to me early!

Finally, I was too busy to take pics of all the projects I completed in the last few months, but here are a few. Feel free to post yours if you'd like!

Four years ago today I officially launched this business.
Thanks to all my wonderful customers, I've been continuously busy and haven't needed to advertise for the past year and half!
More importantly, I've loved helping preserve your memories in fabric. And I've been able to donate thousands of dollars to help vulnerable mothers and children. Thank you all so much!

I've been remiss on posting photos lately, so here's a bit of a photo dump:
