Friends, my design was in the final list of 5 nominees for best house internationally.
No, we did not win, but just seeing Swallowtail on that list was a incredible experience!

Friends, this morning has honestly been the highlight of my career.
I was awarded architect of the best house in the Americas, selected from submissions from the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America and South America.
It’s such an honor. I’m feeling a mixture being extremely grateful and overwhelmed!
And it was all the more meaningful, seeing other winners from around the world receiving their award for their region.
The gala dinner is tonight, and it will be fun to dress up, celebrate with all the other regional winners and see who wins the Best in the World!

This small, non-conforming home, built below flood, received Conceptual and Final approval from the DRB (Design Review Board) to raise the home and renovate it.

Hats off to the Sullivan's Island DRB for conducting their first Zoom DRB meeting! After cancelling get March meeting due to the Crovid19, this meeting was held over the internet.
The meeting was well run, everyone who wanted to comment was given the opportunity and the flow of the meeting was very smooth and efficient.
It was a success!

How can you maximize your view when Sullivan's design guidelines require roof decks and the stairs to be hidden from the street?
Our Gallery Home tucked the steel stairs out of sight from the street and blended the roof top railing with the parapet to provide the owners with both Intracoastal and ocean views!

We all know how rain water drainage is a big issue on the island. We are investigating removing the exterior brick and raising this home not only to accommodate parking on a very small lot but to accommodate a new drainage plan for the property.

When a family wants a contemporary feel to their renovation, they got it with the cortex steel retailing wall around the pool, the clean lines of the siding, and the long windows above the kitchen counter.

After getting approval from the DRB, the new home on Middle Street is going up very quickly. The L-shaped plan allows for a great pool area for the family to enjoy while the curved window wall in tech kitchen is a dream come true.

The finishes added to the interior of historic Fort Moultrie's ordinance shed reflect the past. We added new thin brick which is similar to the original brick to cover a layer of insulation over the original brick wall. We are leaving exposed the original roof framing and the new wood ceiling is similar to the original wood boards under the roofing, left on place and now hidden behind the roof insulation.
