On the final evening of the 2022 New Years’ Conference in Raleigh, NC, the Campus Outreach leaders from Charlotte, Charleston, DC, and Lynchburg held a private meeting.

You could call it a REndezvous. We gathered to ask one question:

What would we change if we could REimagine CONference?

When we said “REimagine”, we meant more than just a REname, but less than a complete REmake. We thought of it like when you REmix a song. A REmix keeps the core components intact while REvising, REfreshing, and REnovating the overall vibe. (See what we did there?)

RECON is the answer we came up with.

Every component of RECON has been filtered through three core values: RELATE, RENEW, & RESPOND. (oops, we did it again)

I promise, its not you, its me! Men and Women, we're breaking up for the weekend and having two separate retreats on the same weekend! 💔 You heard that right, Men will have their own retreat in one beach house, while Women will have their retreat in another beach house. There, you will spend intentional time in fellowship, growing in your relationship with the Lord and, of course, having fun! ⛱✨🌊

We thought it was about time we explain this year's Leadership Project theme to you guys! This summer we have been looking at many of the BUT GOD’s in the scriptures. Our main point of this theme is that if it weren’t for God acting in our lives then none of His promises would be true.

Specifically, we've been receiving teaching through our theme phrase that comes from Ephesians 2:1-7 — BUT GOD made us alive together with Christ for good works

Ephesians 2:1-7
"And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. BUT GOD, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."

LP is a summer investment designed to help you grow in your personal relationship with God and learn how to impact others for Christ!
