TODAY! The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education and Corporate Training Department will host a Community Health Resource Fair Friday, Oct. 22 at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center. This FREE event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include vendors and agencies providing information about their services, food and door prizes. A year (and 10 days) ago, Northeast Texas Community College hosted it's first professional driving academy course in over 15 years. Since then, we have trained over 50 individuals. This has been an incredible journey that I wouldn't trade for the world, and what better week to celebrate than week. To the Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education and Corporate Training team (Ron Clinton, Kevin Rose, Lisa Davis York, Kenzie Beasley), the Ancora Corporate Training team, our community partners Nathan Tafoya and the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation, the local companies who employ our drivers, and most importantly to every trainee who decided to start their story here, I (Jimmy W Smith Jr.) personally want to say thank you! This program would not be what it is without you.
