Yesterday evening our shop sustained damage due to fire that was quickly contained by first responders. Everyone is safe, and first and foremost we want to say: the shop will be back! We cannot express our gratitude enough to the first responders who were on the scene. Things could have been so much worse without their unwavering dedication.
We want to express our sincere thanks to all who have reached out in support. As we assess damages in the coming days, we ask that you continue to support other local small businesses, because if the last 24 hours have taught us anything, it’s this community’s strength that keeps us going each and every day.
From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate each one of you keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your continued support means the absolute world to us.

HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!
The Oh so very loved Mark H. Phoenix of John’s Island, South Carolina, better known as Big Daddy, fried his last pork skin on January 25th, 2024. At the age of 63, Big Daddy was best known around the Lowcountry for his signature cowboy style, big smile, and tasty cowboy treats! The love he spread through the food he shared will forever live on in the memories of those he touched. The family will be receiving guests at 1586 Truck Farm Rd., Wadmalaw Island, SC. Funeral details to follow, but there will definitely be Pork Skins!
Since we know our Dad was "Big Daddy" to so many people in the community we set up a GoFundMe to allow those he touched to support his memory with us. All proceeds will go towards his memorial services and settling his affairs. https://www.gofundme.com/f/big-daddy-of-big-daddys-pork-skin
