Kevin Bull for District 57 Board of Education
I am a dad of 3 that wants the best for students, the taxpayers, and our community. I think that I
Well, it looks like our hard work paid off! Thank you so much for everyone that put a sign in their yard, hung door hangers, or just went out and voted. We couldn’t have done it without you. A special thanks to Lindsay Mulligan, Lisa Shah, and the others coordinating the parent group supporting me, and to Becky Lerman Zajac for designing the campaign sign and advertising. And especially to my wife, Allison, that provided both her intellect and elbow grease to the numerous hours spent answering questions, preparing for debates, getting signatures, and distributing signs. We should all be proud for what we accomplished, especially since it appears that I am one of the very few vocal reopen candidates that was elected per today’s Daily Herald story.
I look forward to being the vocal proponent that our kids and taxpayers deserve.
It’s finally Election Day. Please go out and vote. Every vote counts. Thank you all for your support!
Today I received the endorsement of the Mount Prospect Journal & Topics. I am now endorsed by both local newspapers: The Daily Herald and Journal & Topics.
“Bull is outspoken and believes there is a strong need for improvement on the board. He has expressed his belief that the district dragged its feet when it came to returning kids to school. He has said that if elected he will not shy away from speaking his mind.”
Please vote on (or before) April 6!

Happy to announce that I was endorsed by the Daily Herald today:
“...we are ultimately swayed by Bull's assertive approach to monitoring the work of a new incoming administration. His voice is an important one to be included in board deliberations.”

I participated in the League of Women voters candidate forum this afternoon. The recording is available here. Make sure you listen to my closing statement to hear why it is so important to go vote in this election, even though the children will hopefully be back in school before the end of the year: fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Column: Teachers unions meet their match as parents say, ‘Open our schools’ Many suburban parents are rising up as many schools remain closed.
Good news. All IEP students in Circle of Friends are getting an extra day starting next week (up to 3 days out of the normal 4). BUT this has nothing to do with changing any existing rules promulgated by our Board. Instead, all the Administration did was finally admit that the spots they were holding just in case someone else with an IEP came to the district were not going to be used during the rest of the 2020-2021 school year. That's right, our District was under populating classrooms based on faulty projections that they refused to correct, thereby failing to educate IEP students that we could have accommodated since the fall. I'm very happy these kids are getting an extra day, but let's not pretend that our District showed any urgency or concern for them. Rather, it was just getting too hot in the kitchen and they needed to do something to turn down the heat. Our Board and Administration must do better.
I was featured in this Journal & Topics article. I look forward to sharing more about my views and plans for District 57. https://www.journal-topics.com/articles/sparked-to-run-for-school-board/
