We get many asking about the appropriate age for our candle-making classes.

Littles ones (ages 8-12) accompanied by their parents love to help choose the vessel color and being able to smell fragrances but we do require parents to be present to help them.

Our classes are fun and creative and appropriate for ages 13+.

Whatever the fragrance, scents and memory are powerfully linked. A fragrance will stir up memories that were long forgotten, or maybe we will make some new ones.

Fragrances are amazing, and science helps us understand them. Simply put, the olfactory bulb which is responsible for processing all those smells we take in is next to the hippocampus deep inside the brain. Neuroscientists have discovered that one of the responsibilities of the hippocampus is creating new memories. Research suggests smell and memory are closely related since the olfactory bulb and the hippocampus are adjacent to each other.

So, today to celebrate this awesome day - Light a Candle!

We had a fun group of women in this weekend for our perfume formulation class. They were celebrating a birthday with an all sensory perfume experience.

We keep the class size small since formulating your own scent takes a little bit of concentration and patience.

The time it takes to create a personalized perfume can vary depending on the complexity and the number of adjustments required to reach your final formula. In our 2 hour class you find it easy to understand and be able to create a lovely scent all your own.

Our new Perfume Formulation class is finally here. We’ve created a simplified and approachable class that will give you the basics in perfume formulation.

Were you a fan of the show “Parks & Recreation with Amy Poehler? Did you know that because of that show “Galentine’s Day” is a thing.

Amy Poehler who played Leslie Knope in the show is considered by many to be the patron saint of Galentine’s Day, the annual festival of sisterhood was imagined into existence by the Parks and Recreation writing staff led by Michael Schur.

By all accounts, Galentine’s Day (February 13) was born out of rebel spirit, intended as a rebuff to the conventions of Valentine’s Day. It’s about doing exactly what you want to do, and feeling thankful for having friends that let you do it.
