🍾 WINE OF THE WEEK 🍾

This week’s wine is 2019 Junto GSM, a captivating and vibrant wine for any occasion! 🤩

👀 Sight:
On the glass, it greets the eye with a vibrant ruby hue.

👃🏽 Smell:
Fresh raspberries intertwined with hints of licorice and a rosy perfume. The aromatic profile is further enriched by notes of lavender and violet, which complements the fruitiness.

👄 Taste:
On the palate, it offers the bright red fruits of Grenache, which leads the blend with its characteristic vibrancy. The medium acidity and tannins create a balanced structure, with notes of spice, game, and a creamy, almost cheesy texture that adds a unique richness.

Bondar is an Australian family-owned winery making wines from their favorite regions McLaren vale and Adelaide Hills. Their home is the iconic Rayner Vineyard in McLaren Vale. Over the last few years, Bondar has been named James Halliday’s Best New Winery in his 2017 Australian Wine Companion, and they have won multiple trophies at the McLaren Vale Wine Shows. They were also names one of the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine in 2018 and 2020.

This GSM is easy to drink and approachable, but yet elegant and complex. It’s an interesting Australian wine that we would absolutely encourage you to try next time you visit us! Cheers! 🍷

🍾 WINE OF THE WEEK 🍾

This week’s wine is 2018 Solomon Hills Sparkling Rose, and it’s just what these hot days need! ☀️

👀 Sight:
On the glass, this wine exhibits a rich ivory-rose hue.

👃🏽 Smell:
On the nose you find complex aromatics, combining the delightful scent of yellow apples and nectarines with an intriguing clay-like minerality. Doughy and ye**ty aromas add depth, while hints of melon and wet stone

👄 Taste:
Bright and refreshing from the start, with flavors of apple and grapefruit-peel. The wine’s complexity continues with a prominent sourdough element, and beautiful notes of strawberry and peach, all complemented by a subtle hint of cucumber.

Grapes for Goat Bubbles Rosé are sourced from Solomon Hills Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA. Pinot Noir clone 23 is used because this Swiss selection ripens early at low sugar levels, bringing pretty fruit flavors at low alcohol levels. The grapes were hand picked and whole cluster pressed and vinified, as if the wine were destined to be a still Rosé. The label Flying Goat is a study in contrasts—a humorous name and a serious lineup of wines. Including this one which is not to be missed!

The best way to pair these hot summer days is with some good bubbles, and this one is the perfect choice! Cheers! 🥂

This week’s wine is the 2022 Getariako Txakolina Rosé, a truly unique and delightful wine from the Basque region of Spain! 🤩

👀 Sight:
Deep electric pink hue, reminiscent of a vibrant summer sunset.

👃🏽 Smell:
Aromas of grapefruit, white flowers, sour cherry, and watermelon.

👄 Taste:
On the palate, this Txakolina Rosé is a refreshing and minerally delight, showcasing a bright frizzante character that feels almost effervescent. Its off-dry nature balances super high acidity with a dose of sweetness. Chalk and cherry stones add a textural element, while hints of grapefruit, blanched almonds, Valencia orange, ripe summer peach, lemongrass, lemon thyme, and a touch of roasted yellow pepper contribute to its complex profile.

Txakolina, a hidden gem of the Basque Country, is a wine that embodies the spirit and terroir of Spain’s northern coast. Known for its slight effervescence and high acidity, Txakolina offers a vibrant and refreshing experience with every sip. This week’s wine is the 2019 Red Blend, a Bordeaux-style red that is absolutely mouthwatering and wonderful! 🤩

👀 Sight:
This wine showcases a captivating opaque purple-ruby color.

👃🏽 Smell:
On the nose, it reveals a complex array of aromas, including vibrant cassis, deep berry notes, and layers of cedary spice. Hints of dill, brown sugar, and toasted bread add an extra layer of aromas.

👄 Taste:
Upon tasting, the wine opens with a fruity and approachable front palate, transitioning smoothly to a mid-palate rich with dark, dried fig and blueberry flavors. This wine showcases ripe black fruit flavors intertwined with alluring oak nuances of to***co, espresso, mint, and blueberries. The finish is long and pleasant, featuring Negroni-like elements of dried citrus peel, bittersweet notes, and spice

This wine is composed of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 11% each of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Merlot. The Hendry family has been farming the same vineyard in Napa since 1939. The Hendry Ranch is composed of 114 acres of vineyard situated in the hills north west of Napa. This latitude in the valley experiences substantial marine influence, and allows them to grow 10 different varietals, each distributed among 47 vineyard blocks.

This wine is bold, elegant and beautiful! Great to have now, or add it to your cellar and enjoy in the next 10 to 15 years 🍷

This week’s wine is the 2021 Pinot Noir, a delightful, balanced wine that we’re sure all Pinot fans will love! 🍷

👀 Sight:
This wine showcases a medium ruby color.

👃🏽 Smell:
On the nose, it exudes a floral perfume of candied roses, wild berries, lifted orange zest, and clove

👄 Taste:
On the palate, this medium-bodied red is fresh with notes of dusty earth, fresh pomegranate, and cherry, fine tannins, and a clean finish. This wine gives fruit up front with lots of red notes on the palate and classic structure and acidity that has become a hallmark for Cobb Wines.

In 2001, two generations of the Cobb family came together to explore a shared passion for pinot noir with the founding of Cobb Wines. Focused exclusively on crafting single-vineyard, Sonoma Coast pinot noirs, Cobb Wines combines the winegrowing expertise of David Cobb—one of the pioneers of pinot noir viticulture on the far Sonoma Coast—with the winemaking talents of his son, noted pinot noir specialist Ross Cobb.
