Out on the course earlier today, not listening to a thing Ken has taught us about golf this season, we all tried a few non-alcoholic beers, and admittedly it didn’t take long for us to collectively discover what our favorite ingredient in beer actually is… especially when golfing (responsibly or course).

While you ponder that one over, we’ll get right to what’s happening this week at LBCC:

Wednesday, July 24th: It’s of course a great day for Golf, and then join us for Bingo! and a bite to eat, from 6pm to 8:30pm. Our incredible wings are only $1 all evening long.

Thursday, July 25th: Nothing. But. Awesome Golf. Delicious Food. And Drinks that hit the spot! That’s it. All day long.

Friday, July 26th: Great Golfing Weather + Fish Fry Friday! – We serve Fish All Day long, and the full menu, less pizzas, is available at dinnertime too! Join us for dine-in, inside or outside, or takeout.

Saturday, July 27th: It’s another “LBCC Free Breakfast Saturday!” With a paid green fee between 8 and 11, you’ll get a Free Breakfast – Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage, and choice of toast. In the afternoon we’re hosting another set of FREE golf clinics – work on your Long Game from 2-3pm and your Short Game from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Then join us for dinner and drinks to cap off the day!

Sunday, July 28th: Did you love your free breakfast yesterday? Did the clinics get you a little more excited about golf? If so, before or after your round, why not join us for the Best Brunch in East Troy from 9am to 1pm or for our Full Menu the rest of the day.

After payday recently we had to let our younger summer workers know that it’s called “gross pay” because it’s disgusting to see what you could’ve made before Uncle Sam took his “fair share.” Please note: They didn’t find that sentiment funny either.

While we appreciate everyone’s excitement over the ever-improving LBCC experience, inside and out, Hooper (LBCC’s border collie and all-around chicken) and the rest of Team Turf would like to humbly ask that you don’t take any souvenirs, like giant purposeful divots, from the course – especially from our greens.*

Instead, take “priceless memories,” by joining us for Golf this weekend, lunch or dinner on our beautiful new patio, Brunch on Sunday, or “Karaoke with Ray” tonight (Saturday, July 13th) from 7-10. And if you really need to take something home, we’ve got all sorts of fun LBCC “merch” in the Pro Shop.

And remember, tomorrow (Sunday, July 14th), tee off between 3 and 5 for the best deal in local Golf – as it’s another “LBCC Sunday Family Fun Day!” Only $20 per Tee Time for a family of up to 5, and that includes your green fee, a cart, and a 20% discount on food before or after your round.

Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday – Open 11am to 8pm – Full Menu

Friday – Open 11am to 8:30pm – Fish Fry available All Day, Full Menu Available most of the day (no pizzas during dinner)

Sunday – Open 9am to 1pm for Brunch. After 1pm, Full Menu Available until 7:30pm. (And if you come for Brunch, but want something off the regular menu, who are we to say no?)

Please note: We will gladly re-open for full service on Mondays and/or Tuesdays once customer demand warrants it! And food is ALWAYS available for dine-in, inside or out, and for takeout!

We’ve seen the "playful" comments about the ads we’ve recently run, and admittedly, even we agree that “pristine fairways” might be a bit much as a descriptor of the course as we continue to work to improve things at LBCC.* But that’s what happens when you leave advertising to the “marketing professionals.” So, let’s go a little "off-script" here with this post, freak them out, and get real for a moment…

If you’ve been back to LBCC this season, we think we can all agree that the product you’ve seen out on the course is night-and-day better than what we opened with last year. Is it perfect? Nope. But are Ken and his team of "Grass Ninjas," okay, “Team Turf,” kicking butt, with a little help from Mother Nature? They sure are. And the positive comments that we get, both publicly and privately from those that are back this summer, really keep us motivated to keep going. And believe us, we’re not stopping anytime soon.

Inside, Jess, Tyler and the rest of the incredible Clubhouse and Kitchen staff are teeing up an awesome experience too. From the All-New Menus (lunch and dinner, to our Fish Fry and Sunday Brunch), to Events and Specials, there is more than ever before to enjoy at LBCC besides golf. Do we always get it right? Nope. But like outside, will we kill ourselves trying to? Absolutely!

So, here’s what we need from you...

We need your help to continue getting the word out about us. We need you to tell your friends and family about us – or better yet, bring them along. We need you to Like and Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, to engage with our posts, to help share our posts, and if warranted, to give us a positive review on your social platform of choice. We need you to book a Tee Time and see how we’ve grown, browse the Pro Shop (more LBCC merchandise coming soon), or stop up at the Clubhouse, say hello to our friendly bartenders and waitstaff, and grab a bite to eat or your beverage of choice. We need you to consider us for your next take-out meal when you don’t feel like cooking, or to join us for times when you might not normally go out, such as Sunday Brunch. We need you to stop out and join us for Bingo, join our Bags League (starts on 7/11 – there’s still time), or pop on over to listen to one of our great local Live Musical acts.

Equally important, when we get it wrong, we need to hear about it. Preferably while you’re still with us – so we can have a chance to make it right. Oh, and not after a bad round. That’s not necessarily our fault. But we do have Free Clinics and both group and private lessons to help with the mastering this frustratingly fun game.

To all of our Awesome Customers / Cheerleaders, thank you for helping us get this far in just a year. We appreciate you always being willing to come along for the ride as we continue to learn and improve – and as you know, we are always listening. For our new Customers, thank you for giving us a try. We sincerely hope you become a regular face around LBCC – even if you don’t golf. And if we’ve somehow fallen short of your expectations, please don’t count us out just yet. Give us another chance. We promise it’s going to be worth it.

* We stand by the use of the word “fairways” though, as we have those now. And we also stand by "serene views" – especially if you've seen what we're working on, on the back 9.

It’s the weekend at LBCC and time to start stretching… your back for Golf, your tummy for Ribs tonight & Brunch tomorrow, and your range for “Karaoke with Ray”tonight!

After golfing earlier today, and thinking it was wise to walk 18-Holes (we had lunch in the middle), we finally came to the consensus that we might be “kids at heart,” but we are definitely “senior citizens at knees and back.”

Saturday, June 29th: Help us get you ready for summer holiday eating with a “LBCC Rib Special” from 4-8pm – featuring BBQ Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Potato Salad and Chips. Things not recently heard around here at LBCC:

"Wow, we could really use some more rain. It's only rained like twice this spring."

"Yep, only once for 20 days and again for 30 days."

That is of course a bit of sarcasm, especially when compared to when it stopped raining in 2023. But kidding aside, here's a fun LBCC Course Fact: LBCC drains really, really well. So that means we pretty much always allow carts out, even right after a monsoon hits us. And we like to think that if you've been out this year you'll agree, especially when compared to last year, how much of a difference a whole lot of hard work and a little bit of rain has made on the course. Those pristine fairways and beautifully restored greens should stay nice and green for as long as possible this year. And when it inevitably does dry out this summer, we'll be ready for it.

Rain aside, we still have plenty to do inside and out this week, and here's a little preview of fun to come:

“Oh deer!” The weather might not be cooperating to start this first weekend of June, but it isn’t stopping folks from checking out all the fun and improvements at LBCC. Even this neighbor was a bit curious today.

Our little brand manager used to tell a joke every spring that went something like this: “If April showers bring May flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?”

And then she’d scream, “Pilgrims!” Before giggling with unbridled glee.

With the weather we’ve had this spring, we found ourselves thinking of that joke and wondering out loud, with a little bit of fear: "What exactly do 'May Showers' bring?"

And since we aren’t prone to “hoping” around here, we decided to fill June with all sorts of fun, just in case mother nature has other ideas – in addition of course to Golf, great food & drinks, and the usual fun you already know about…

Friday, May 31st: End your month / “unofficial spring” with Fish Fry Friday! Join us before or after your round, and as always, it’s available for lunch or dinner, dine-in or take-out, and we have plenty of other options for the non-fish lovers too!

Saturday, June 1st: It seems that 4.5 out of 5 “weather persons” all agree that new month looks to start off with great weather for Golf all day long, lunch or dinner (inside or out on the patio), or some great live music from $pare Change Band from 6-9pm.

Sunday, June 2nd: The great weather continues to only get better, so why not join us for a round of Golf, a bucket of balls, Brunch from 9-1, and/or our regular menu the rest of the day.
