This Memorial Day weekend was an adventure!

We set up our booth, faced a wild storm, and huddled under our canopy as rain poured in.

But we stayed focused, kept our well-being in check, and came out stronger. ๐ŸŒง๏ธโšก

The sun returned, bringing with it amazing customers and wonderful stories about our therapy jewelry.

When I look back on my energy level in my 30โ€™s compared to my 40โ€™s and early 50's, it was night and day.

๐Ÿ›‘When you stop letting yourself and your happiness be dependent on labels, achievements, and external expectations, you RECONNECT with your own vitalityโ€”what lights you up and makes you feel aliveโ€”and you naturally infuse that back into every aspect of your work and home life.

When I look back on my energy level in my 30โ€™s compared to my 40โ€™s and early 50's, it was night and day.

As my career continued to blossom, I felt emotionally , , and .

Others were inspired by my success and achievements.

But on the inside...

โ†’ My daily stress levels were through the roof.

โ†’ I felt disconnected from what was meaningful to me - although I couldn't put my finger on WHY.

โ†’ Overthinking, guilt, personal expectations, and the like .

โ†’ I felt to keep up my image and it had become exhausting and unbearable.

โ†’ I felt that if I didn't exceed expectations and excell in my work, others would see me as incompetent or "not a team player".

โ†’ Even when I had reached great heights, it somehow never felt good enough. The constant pressure to was overwhelming.

โ†’ It got to the point where NOTHING I did or achieved seemed to bring a sense of lasting fulfillment or peace into your life.โ€‹

IT FELT CONFINING.

I started - doing the bare minimum.

I limited my social life and outside activities.

It had been captured by my "performance-based" mindset.

In my mid-50's, I waa at my wits end.

Time and time again, I've had high hopes, made BIG plans, and done tons of prep, but when it was time to go, things fell flat.

And there I stood.

Stranded.
Feeling lost.
My battery was dead.

What I've learned over the years is that all the EFFORT in the world cannot make "things work out".

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that for many of us, this time of year can be difficult when we're dealing with GRIEF. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, a change in our circumstances, or simply the stress of the season, it can be a challenging time.

During times of grief, it's natural to seek comfort and support.

As a source of solace, I find strength in God's word, which reminds us of His love and promises.

Throughout my life, I have faced a range of GRIEF that many others can relate to. I navigated the challenges of an unstable relationship, walked through the pain of divorce, and faced the heart-wrenching news that my son had committed a crime and would be incarcerated for an extended period of time.

In addition to these personal trials, I also experienced the loss of my dad and the untimely deaths of two siblings in their 50s.

These moments tested my strength and resilience in ways I never imagined.

Amidst the storms of GRIEF, I found solace in God's words, prayer, and quiet time๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ.

His offer of comfort and reassurance became my anchor, reminding me that He is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Even in the darkest times, God's love and grace sustain us and guide us through every season of sorrow.

I want to let you know that you are not alone in your feelings, and that it's okay to take time for yourself to process your emotions. It's important to remember that GRIEF is a personal journey, and there is no right or wrong way to feel or cope.

I hope that during this season, you find moments of peace and comfort, and that you feel SURROUNDED by the love and support of those around you.

As we journey through life's unpredictable seasons, there are moments when the "temperature" of our existence takes a sudden plunge.

Much like a cold front sweeping through, these shifts can profoundly impact our motivation, happiness, health, and relationships with those around us.

Imagine walking your dog๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ on a frosty morning like today~ 28 degrees. The air is crisp and biting. (Fortunately, Teddy does his duty rather quickly on these chilly mornings.)

Ever feel like you don't have time to cultivate a ๐™ง๐™š๐™ก๐™–๐™ญ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ stress management routine?

Before you answer that, ask yourself a few questions.
1. Is a bit of ๐™ง๐™š๐™ก๐™–๐™ญ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ and rejuvenation more important than some other items on my to-do list?
2.Is there time that I'm spending, during the day, that is mindless or unproductive?
3. How long would it take to do one additional activity that promotes ๐™ง๐™š๐™ก๐™–๐™ญ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ?
4. Can I set a goal for ยฝ that time just to get myself started?
5. What support do I need to prioritize this routine- to make it happen?

Have you ever filled out a personality profile? What did you learn about yourself?

Because self-awareness is a necessary part of spiritual and emotional growth, "personality" profiles can be a tool to help us see what lies behind our strengths and weaknesses.

In the first module (week 1) of my self-image expansion course walks you through a diagnostic tool to help you take a self-inventory to explore your WHY.

In week 2, we delve into the Elements Of Being (mind, body, belonging, circumstance).

One of the first things I explored about myself when I first took a deep dive into what makes me tick, was to distance myself.

So I set a few goals...

At work, I wanted to be less sensitive and emotional, focusing instead on the effectiveness of my work.

I wanted to be more rational and focus on solutions that were productive and help solve the problem of being understaffed rather that feeling "used" and "taken advantage of".

I set our to put more emphasis on "advocacy" and "distance".

To "step aside" and not stew in guilt and self-pity.

To be kind to myself.
