Summer staples! Shout out to the zinnias and dahlias for powering through this heat 🔥

07/09/2024

The Dawn Creek Peach and Floret Mixed Metals Zinnias have exploded!! If you’re a florist interested or in need send me a message 🤗 I might end up bringing straight zinnia bunches to the grocery store if not because we have so many! I’ll keep you posted if I do 🌸

We dropped off flowers this morning to Tanners Tasting room in downtown Murphys🌸 treat your mama to some blooms there’s a few left!

05/07/2024

The warmer weather is coming, which means ranunculus season might be coming to a quick end 😭 I’m hoping these plants hang on for a few more weeks! 🤞 If you’re hoping to snag some before they’re gone be sure to snag a bouquet from Tanners Tasting room this Saturday!!

Oh, Hey Spring 😑 Sticking with my motto that when it comes to Mother Nature you never know what you’ll get. No point in stressing over things that are out of my control. The warm weather we had jump started most of my dahlias to already start sprouting up…now I’m praying they don’t completely freeze 🙏

10/18/2023

These beautiful dahlias were grown by and they were perfect for an event we did recently!
Flower farming has all the perks but one of the tops is trading flowers/ seeds/ bulbs with other farmers.🧡

Bee’s are so fascinating to me. Could you imagine the sun starting to set and you find a nice flower to curl up on as your bed for the night? The zinnias last night we’re loaded with bumblebees all cuddled up with the flower petals. As humans we are such a small sliver to this unique, complex, interesting universe. We don’t spray any chemicals on our flowers, all weeds are pulled by hand. Doing our part to provide a sweet little safe place for these cuties 🐝

I’ll be busy working at the grocery store the next couple of weeks so haven’t had much time to make flower arrangements…BUT just sent some pretty stems to our flower friends at so luckily these beauties won’t get wasted and will make it in to some gorgeous arrangements! Happy Saturday everybody, enjoy the weekend! 🧡🌸

Happy Friday! The different dahlias are starting to pop!! I honestly have no idea what varieties I have this year because I dug up all of my tubers in the Fall and thought I did a great job labeling all of them and then when I went to plant this spring all of my sharpied labels faded to where I couldn’t read them 🥴 and several of the tubers molded 😑 so…I’ve realized if I can help it, I won’t be digging up tubers to divide them until spring. In my experience the tubers do way better being overwintered in the ground. Lesson #786 in farming 😂 hope everyone has a great weekend and stays cool out there!

When life throws you lemons make lemonade. I thought I planted a ton of white Xeranthemum but they’re mainly purple 🙃 I still have some white in the mix but there’s a whole lot of purple. I was going to use the whites for a couple of fall weddings coming up….honestly, I’m not that mad about it because I love how well they can be dried for arrangements in the fall and winter and the purple is something new that will add a fun pop. Lately I’m all about the color 💥💜Happy Saturday friends!

I love that with every season offers a unique, different flower style. These are my spring blooms. So much fluff and soft petals with your tulips, ranunculus, and anemones. We’re going to be approaching the summer blooms hopefully soon and to me they offer a more rigid appearance, with the sharper edges of dahlias and zinnias, but still so fluffy and beautiful! What do you think, are you team ranunculus/ tulip or team dahlia/ zinnia. Lol I personally just can’t pick, I love them all and their various styles!

Last night’s harvest. Feels pretty dang amazing to be able to fill flower orders again with everything I’ve grown myself! I haven’t really been able to do this since we had The Farm. It’s been a 3 year process to get back to this and it’s still such an evolving, growing project. But man it makes me so happy! 💜🌸💜

05/15/2023

We’re pulling all of our ranunculus today to make room for all of our dahlia plants! This porcelain ranunculus variety was by far one of our favorites this year!

05/14/2023

Happy Mothers Day 💜🌸💜

05/11/2023

Our last big ranunculus harvest of the year! For those who recently reached out we are no longer taking flower orders for Mother’s Day but we did just take a bunch of cute little arrangements to Sierra Hills Natural Foods and Angels Food Market🌸

05/04/2023

The ranunculus came on like hot cakes!! We went from really cold to ideal 65 temps and these guys exploded! Unfortunately, ranunculus are a cool loving plant and start to go dormant with temperatures into the 80’s and the 85 degree temps last week weren’t great for the plants. We’re going to be soaking up what we have the next week or so but will be saying bye to these sooner than we hoped! BUT we have a WHOLE LOT of summer seedlings that we’ll be plugging in their place, so not all is lost 😅

04/22/2023

We had a blast last Thursday hanging out with the 4th and 5th graders of the county for Ag Day at the fairgrounds! I got to show them the process of being a farmer florist💜Watching them hold ranunculus corms which many said looked like little sea creatures 😂 and then showing them all of the ranunculus blooms those corms grow into and hearing the “ooohhh WOW that grew from THAT?!” “They’re so fluffy” “They smell like honey” was such a cool experience!

There are so many amazing flower varieties out there! So fun getting to share them with the kids!

Sunsets and blooms 💛🧡

03/08/2023

Check out my stories to see a little behind the scenes of what we have started for our 2023 growing season🌱 crazy to think this time last year I was starting to put my dahlia tubers in the ground 😳 I’m contemplating getting them started in pots under lights in the next week or so but a little hesitant because I’ve never tried it with dahlia tubers. Will definitely keep you guys updated!

March is here 💚what a wild winter it’s been so far. After crazy winds and heavy rain blew off my frost cloth I decided to just let Mother Nature take control and hope these babies can make it. As much I stress over the plants I can’t help but appreciate the much needed amount of rain/ snow we’ve gotten this year. The little bit of sunshine today reminded me Spring is around the corner. With Spring comes growth 🌱

06/21/2022

My new dahlias are starting to bloom!! Right now the flowers are far and few between and I’m lucky if I can get to them before the earwigs (little suckers!) but either way I’m excited and even more excited for the years to come as they’ll just keep producing more and more! Also, give me all your pincher bug tips!! My plants are starting to look like Swiss cheese 😳
