The Garden City Baptist Youth had a wonderful time at Journey Camp 2022! Throughout the week we saw over 40 students give their lives to Christ, and countless others who recommitted their lives to Him, accepted a call to ministry, and show interest in missions work.
In our students, I saw impactful conversations about living out their faith happening, friendships deepening, interest in learning to share their faith with those around them, and other awesome ways that God was working. Thank you so much to our Church family who continues to support our Youth and make it possible for them to take part in these life-changing weeks.

Journey Camp 2022 - Garden City Baptist

Some months ago, we noticed that our basketball court was in disrepair. The court was dirty, the goals were dry-rotted and broken, and the rims were bent. Over the course of a few months, a plan was put in place to re-vitalize the court so that it could once again be used in Youth and Kid’s Ministry, as well as a ministry to our community. Many church members of all ages came together to pressure wash the court, remove the old goals, research and purchase new goals, and install the new ones! I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved in the process and share a few pictures from the process.

Our church family spoils our youth with some delicious dinners each week. A huge thanks to the many members who make sure our youth are fed well each Sunday night!

The youth had a great time at 810 bowling this last Sunday. A night full of strikes and smiles!

Purchasing items and packing boxes was one of my favorite outings as a youth, so I was so happy to see the way our youth also enjoyed participating in Operation Christmas Child!

What an awesome night with the group last night! Keep bringing on those HARD questions about faith! We really dug in last night!

This month, well be doing a series out of Roman's during our Sunday School hour, focusing on "stretching" our faith. Our faith is a bit like working out in that it take intentional effort and commitment if we want to see growth and results. This series will focus on helping students commit to growing their faith and building lifelong habits that will draw them closer to their Savior!

Show some love to our student athletes! Griffin Bailey and Hayden Broz both made the SJMS football team! Congratulations guys! Prayers for a fun, safe season!

To all of our youth and children starting school this week. Know that I have been praying for you. Prayers for a safe and healthy school year. Prayers that you will do well re-adjusting to the school-flow after a very unusual last year. Prayers that your studies and schoolwork will be fruitful and that you will learn a lot! Prayers for opportunities to share Jesus with your friends and peers. Know that I love each and every one of you, and am so so so proud of you.

Here were a few pictures from last weeks EDGE Youth Lockin. It was a great night of fun and fellowship as our students continued to grow their relationships with each other and with their Savior!

Thanks again to all who donated funds, offered to let us borrow bikes, and donated bikes to last weeks bike outing. I think it was one of the groups favorites so far! A fantastic time of fun and fellowship in God's great outdoors!

I've been prepping and getting excited for our biking adventure at Huntington Beach Park next week! We're looking forward to burning some calories (and then maybe gaining a few with a few sweet treats after).

The GCBC Youth had a great time joining the youth at FB Surfside for a game of kickball! Love seeing these students fellowship and build friendships with their brothers and sisters in Christ!
