Magnolia Kittens Fosters

I can’t find the right words to describe the shock and heartbreak. Our sweet little Aelin has crossed the rainbow bridge two days ago.

Aelin was the funniest little kitty that fit into our family so well, it felt like she’s been with us forever.
She did not know how to meow, so she used a raspy chirp to get our attention instead.
She walked like a lion, wide steps with her pretty silver feet, and her tail always swished side to side.
She absolutely loved playing with lollipops and her favorite toy was a tunnel that she could spook everyone from.
She was the most beautiful silver tabby with a cream colored spotted belly.
Her nose was always a little wet, and she left little nose prints on the windows all around our house.
She was afraid of heights and would always grip my shoulders whenever I picked her up.
She loved hunting our feet under blankets at night and licking the kids’ faces while they slept.
We lovingly nicknamed her ‘trash cat’, because she was obsessed with food and had no qualms about stealing it right off our plates. Chicken nuggets and fries were her favorite!
She got along with our other cats so well, her and Bruce were wonderful friends.

She loved, loved, loved the girls. They were her favorite humans and she bonded with them nearly immediately. She would purr the moment she saw them.

We love and miss you so much, little girl. Cannot wait to see you at the rainbow bridge one day 💔 🌈 🐾

Happy 4th birthday to our goodest boy Bruce! Our very first foster that turned into foster fail (success!) 🖤 because he was very obviously my heart kitty right from the start!

It has been long time, friends, hasn’t it?
While we have been unable to foster so far, we are at least doing our part in controlling the local cat population.
A couple of weeks ago, a pretty black kitty started coming by every day in search of food. Finally this evening, I was able to set the trap and lure this little growly thing in.
Off to the vet we go tomorrow am!

Ok guys, real talk. This has been coming, but I haven’t really talked about it because it makes me sad!

We are moving to the east coast. Some of you may know that my spouse is active duty military, so this does not come as a massive shock, but still.

What does this mean for Magnolia kittens? Fostering will be temporarily on hold. I am not sure yet whether I will sign up to foster under a new rescue, go independent or make it a long term break. I just don’t know at this point.
Regardless of my fostering status though, I will be staying on with for the foreseeable future as a foster coordinator, just in a fully remote function now. So those of you who chat with me about your fosters every week? No fear, still will be happening 💕.

I will keep this page active, and you will get to see Bruce (and - Aelin, yep, that apparently happened because my kids fell in love and vice versa) every so often. I am not done, I promise. Cat rescue makes my heart beat and gives me a purpose in life. It will just take another shape for a little while.

Fenrys, Manon and Gav moved to a new and very wonderful foster, while mama Phoenix and her fire kids went to another one.

Fenrys, Manon and all of the Fire crew are also available for adoption now! Gav is going for his neuter on Tuesday 😊

Do you remember Fenrys, the tiny black & white kitten?
Well he was in fact a chameleon, because this is him now! 😍🥰 the fur on his body is still transitioning but he will eventually be all tabby & white floof 🥰 he’s glorious and the absolutely sweetest cat.

Manon is an absolute stunner of a floof too! 🖤 they will be available for adoption within a week or two! 💕

It’s been a hot minute since I posted, sorry guys! It’s been… busy here. More on that later!
For now - look how gloriously grown up Gavriel is now! 💕

Aelin got her sutures removed yesterday and she looks just BEAUTIFUL 💕. She is the perfect cat. Enjoys being carried, snuggles with us every night, very playful and have I said beautiful?! Get your app in if you’re interested, this is one gem of a cat 😻 link in comments!
