“What's the most difficult thing to get to a rally? THE HORSE! What's the most expensive thing you bring to a rally? THE HORSE! What's the hardest to keep clean at a rally? THE HORSE! If only there was a way to rally without having to bring a whole entire horse.... WAIT, there IS!!!! It's the EBTH!!!!! We had soooo much fun last time and everyone learned so much and this one is only going to be "half-day" on Saturday morning (to beat the heat)!
Join us for the "Everything but the Horse Eventing Rally" and give yourself one less thing to worry about! At the EBTH Eventing Rally, you get to go through all the steps of rallying AND earn a real score and prize, all without having to worry about a real live horse at the same time. Rally Briefings, Jog Outs, Ride times, Turnout Inspections, Daily Horse Management Checks, Stall Setup, reading and understanding Jump courses, Vet Box and Dressage Tests, keeping up with horsey antics from the 'pony trouble team'- you can do it all at Fallbrook Riders Field on August 10th at the Everything but the Horse Rally! Competitors are encouraged to bring a stick horse as a stand in for their mount for the day.
This is a RARE opportunity for current members and anyone Pony Club- curious to find out what competing in pony club is all about in a fun, low stress environment surrounded by helpful volunteers.

🌟 Last Round 🌟 Guess that coach! Hint: She was one of the first students at BHR 10 years ago.
As an equestrian, winter can feel like it drags on forever, especially with all the rain we’ve had this year. Sometimes it can seem hard to stay motivated in the shorter days and cold rides. Here’s a few tips to keep things fresh and exciting:
🗓️ Schedule a lesson with a friend. Even the chilliest day lesson is more fun with a buddy.
✍️ Sign-up for your next show or event. Give yourself something to look forward to.
🗣️ Talk to your coach about your goals and what you can do to achieve them. Focusing on specific goal oriented exercises in the off season will help you start your show year stronger.
🧘🏼♀️Cross-train on your non-riding days. It can be as simple as throwing a yoga video on or seeing how many sit ups you can do. Building your strength out of the saddle helps with your balance and strength in the saddle!
🎥Review riding video from your lessons. Pick things to work on but also notice what you did well and are proud of!

🍯 Honey Buns 🍯 Meet our newest lesson horse! Though this girl has a pep in her step, she is very tame, trustworthy, and proven, making an excellent beginners mount. She’s fearless on trail and a patient teacher in the arena. Didn’t take her long to discover the joys of horse camp and all the loving and grooming that comes with it! She’s has quite the barn fan club and quickly becoming a lesson favorite. With her beautiful buckskin color, she’s could easily be mistaken for Spirit, from the popular modern horse lover show. Welcome to the team sweet mare! 🐴🩷
🌨️Rain day reminder: In the event weather prevents riding unmounted lessons are substituted. Rider work on crucial equestrian skills that’s they don’t alway have time for in their regular riding lesson in the saddle.
⛅️If it is not actively raining we ride and make every effort possible to get riders in the saddle.
📆We do not offer make ups for rain days as there is not enough availability in the schedule, though riders are welcome to use 1 of their 4 yearly make ups if they’d like.
⏰Riders who have 30 minute one on ones can participate in the full hour lesson by coming on the hour instead of the half.
There is many benefits to riding on trails and doing hill sets, including:
☀️Building your horses endurance, strength, and stretching both their back and stifles when working on a hill.
☀️Keeping your horse stimulated mentally, but also preparing your horse to deal with different environments.
☀️Allowing your horse to maintain their health through exercise, play, and social interaction with other horses.
☀️Builds the riders balance riding on even ground and helps develop the core.
