The greatest risk for severe weather on Tuesday is during the late afternoon and evening with strong winds, large hail, and tornadoes all possible.
We were able to sneak out this removal between the storms today. Also, had a beautiful view of Little Muskego.
More pictures of the broken ash. We utilized other trees to lower it down safely.
This sketchy broken ash was noticed yesterday when I was at this residence for an estimate on a different project. With the expected high winds tomorrow, and since this tree was leaning towards the house, it was determined the tree needed to be removed ASAP and we took care of it the next day.
It’s never a good thing when my two industries collide.

We recently removed this silver maple tree with a massive trunk. The trunk at its largest diameter was nearly 6 feet
Here are a few before and after pictures of several spruce trees we removed, and a magnolia tree that was damaged over the winter.
If you own property with oak, birch, crabapple, aspen or willow trees, this is a great time of year to take action and protect them before spongy moth caterpillars hatch from their egg masses.
Prior to egg hatch, which usually begins in April in southern Wisconsin, you can help reduce spongy moth populations by treating or removing egg masses that are within reach on your trees.
Any egg masses you can safely access can be sprayed with horticultural oil (available online or at many home and garden centers) when temperatures are warm enough (check the product label). Do not use motor oil or other lubricants, as these pollutants can harm the trees and soil.
You can also gently scrape masses into soapy water to soak for a few days before discarding them in the trash.
Old egg masses do not need to be oiled or removed because they no longer contain viable eggs. Old masses appear faded and feel spongy when touched.
Visit spongymoth.wi.gov for additional information on egg mass oiling and removal, physical controls and insecticide application, as well as a map of quarantined counties that shows where the pest is generally established. A local arborist may be able to oil egg masses or conduct an insecticide treatment this spring if you have large, valuable trees that have many egg masses on them.
A little work now can help you get ahead of spongy moth this spring and summer!
Thank you for supporting our family business for 71 years.
We removed this large Oak tree today on lake Waubeesee. Fortunately we had great weather for February. This removal was pre-planned to be removed in the winter months while the customers and the neighbor had the piers and boat lifts removed from under the tree.
It was a busy week in the fridgid temps. I didn’t get too many pictures since I couldn’t really feel my fingers. But we had to get driveways cleared, remove broken branches that were hanging over structures and even took a couple off our customers houses. We still have lots of clean up to do, if you need any brush chipped up or remove let us know.
This week’s storms really did a number on our local trees. If you need any branches/trees cleaned up or have some dangerous broken limbs hanging contact use for assistance.
Tuesdays wet heavy snow took down this Oak tree right onto the customers shed. The tree initially punched a few holes in the roof. We were able to completely remove the tree without causing any further damage.
Got to have a little fun bringing in the New Year. Just incase you needed a story behind the name.
