It may not happen often or ever (that you know of) But if you live in Horry County, you should have flood insurance. It’s not expensive for the piece of mind!!!

Danielle Harper lives in Longs on the Waccamaw River. As she said, “the air is fresh, the views are sweet, and we’re chillin' 14 feet above sea level like it's no big deal! The shirt sums it up today”. She gets it. It’s absolutely beautiful on the rivers for most of the year but living there means you will occasionally deal with this kind of flooding.

By the way, she’s 5 months pregnant and says her child will come out paddling! Love her attitude!

Usually the carriers reach out to the agents to let them know that will hault binding of new policies to protect themselves from increased potential losses during this time. Homeownership is not for the faint of heart- esp when you are cleaning the gutters on the third story by yourself. My pressure sprayer didn’t make it to the next floor and my son was the biggest help ever!
Then the blower batteries died almost immediately!
That’s okay! I had gardening gloves, grocery bags, a broom and a ladder! Mama is getting it done!!
And I did. 3rd floor gutters all clean now!!!

My perfectly imperfect, but most delish, dessert for my son’s last day of school tomorrow!!!

Just wafers, whip, blueberries and strawberries! So Yum!
