Your support is critical to Preventing Family Homelessness. From July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024, Always Home served 458 families in housing crisis. This represents a 42.7% increase from the families assisted in the prior fiscal year and marks the highest number of families served in a single year since our founding 26 years ago.
Incomes of low-wage workers are not keeping pace with the rising cost of living. The data indicates that as rent prices continue to increase, more low-income families are finding it difficult to afford housing.
Thank you East Coast Pro Painting for another five star job! Tricia met up with owner Pantea Umrysz to thank her and her team for generously supporting Always Home with an amazing in-kind donation. Once again, they gave skill, time and all materials to add a fresh coat of paint, breathing new life into one of our affordable rental units. It's now ready to welcome another family!
A heartfelt thank you to the Ledyard Rotary Club for their generous $1,000 grant to purchase gas cards for our client families. For a family facing housing insecurity, providing gas cards will help a parent commute to work and free up funds in the budget for monthly rent.
