The Rotary Club of Mystic will donate ~ 8,000 in funds to help strengthen the works of local non-profit organizations primarily serving the Groton, Mystic and Stonington areas. Applications are reviewed on the basis of need, number of clients being benefited and the area being served. Please share this information with your favorite nonprofit and encourage them to apply by the October 31st deadline! 😍

The Noank Mystic Community Band treated fans to a beautiful night of music 🎶 accompanied by soft breezes at Mystic River Park tonight. Another community event sponsored by our own Rotary of Mystic, Ct. thank you to the amazing musicians who share their love for music with all of us.
Many individuals who joined Rotary were afraid to speak in public. Rotary develops confidence and skill in public communication and the opportunity to practice and perfect these skills.
Officer McClellanTown of Groton Police Department and Chase the wonder dog came to talk about the amazing work of the Groton Police Service Dogs - a program which supports victims, families, first responders, special needs individuals and others. You may have met some of these wonderful furry friends at this summer. Let’s continue to support this amazing work.
Rotary is fun, a lot of fun. Each meeting is fun. The club projects are fun. Social activities are fun. Serving others is fun.
At Rotary there are programs designed to stay informed about the community, nation, and world. Each meeting provides an opportunity to listen to different speakers and a variety of timely topics.

Deepa Kewat working on a sewing machine at Jhoole’s production center in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, India. Jhoole is a nonprofit, fair-trade clothing company that provides its artisans with a living wage, health insurance, and child care. Jhoole was founded by Hannah Warren, a former Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar who studied in India. District 3040 (India) and five clubs in District 6420 (Illinois, USA) used a 2010 Matching Grant of $12,500 from The Rotary Foundation to support Jhoole, and members of the newly established Rotary Club of Maheshwar volunteer their time and business expertise.

Members of the Rotary Club of Baltimore Sunset, Maryland, USA, and partners from Volunteering Untapped plant a pollinator garden at Moravia Park Elementary School in Baltimore. The club participates in the Monarch Sister Schools Program, which aims to help schools throughout the United States and Mexico establish monarch butterfly and pollinator habitat gardens while providing students with valuable, hands-on learning experiences that connect them with nature.
Members of the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline, Texas, USA, and other clubs in the area interact with community members in the garden at the Third Ward Chess Park in Houston. The clubs and their community partners turned a vacant lot into a park with picnic and chess tables, garden beds, and public art. 14 November 2021.

Well-Being for Kids From Ukraine is a project organized by the Poland-Ukraine intercountry committee in conjunction with, and funded by, District 2231 in Poland. Day one of the Subnational Immunization Days in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, a weeklong campaign to vaccinate children against polio. Rotarians, Rotaractors, health workers, and other volunteers set up and operate more than 1,500 immunization booths in the area. 23 June 2019.
Rotary members from 21 districts, in partnership with UNICEF, are working with local governments to develop and implement immunization programs to protect 100,000 children from rotavirus, pneumococcal disease, and cervical cancer across nine South Pacific Island countries, including Kiribati and Fiji. The Give Every Child a Future project is committed to strengthening the immunization programs in each country so that these vaccines continue to be delivered to future generations of children.
