The City of Hazleton Fire Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for firefighters. Application must be COMPLETED, NOTARIZED and RETURNED on or before NOON (12:00PM) THURSDAY, AUGUST 8, 2024.

Excessive heat is forecasted for next week

The Annual Big Bang Raffle and Chinese Auction is now set up for display and tickets can be purchased to win some amazing items. This Blackstone Grill that was donated by Gilroy Construction and is being raffled off for $5 per Raffle Ticket. Stop by City Hall at 15 E. Ridge St. to purchase tickets from 8 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday up until Friday June 28, 2024.
On Saturday, June 29, 2024 this display will be moved to the City's Annual Big Bang Event at the lower parking lot LCCC (Prospect Street).
The drawing will be on the 29th after the Big Bang Event. Winners do not have to be present to win. Winners who did not pick up their items at the Big Bang will be called to pick up their items at City Hall the week after the event.

The City of Nanticoke’s Annual Big Bang "4th of July Celebration" is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 4 pm (Rain Date is Sunday June 30, 2024) with an amazing fireworks display at dusk by Big Daddy Fireworks.
This event is being held at the lower parking lot at LCCC (Prospect Street).
There will be a Chinese Auction (65 inch TV is the grand prize), 50/50 Raffle, Instant Bingo Games, Food and Craft Vendors, Live Music by “Toasted” and “Shaken”, Face Painting, Moon Bounces, Pony Rides and a Petting Zoo. Come out and enjoy this wonderful community event provided and organized by the City of Nanticoke and its Event Committee.

The Mayor, City Council and Administration wants to thank all of its donators. We could hold this event without your support.

Today, the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Foundation 58, hosted by the Nanticoke Career Firefighters Local 2655, was held at Sand Springs Golf Course to raise funds for Foundation 58. We are excited to share that we raised $11,530. THANK YOU to all that came out to help a great organization.

We are ready to golf! See you all at Sand Springs tomorrow morning!!! Just a reminder, registration starts at 7am with an 8am shotgun start. It’s going to be a beautiful day!

Nanticoke Firefighters Local 2655 will be hosting a charity golf tournament to benefit Foundation 58 on May 24th, 2024. Foundation 58 is a non-profit organization that aids first responders by providing support and education of duty related exposures. These exposures include cancer related illnesses as well as mental health related illnesses brought on by PTSD. All proceeds from this event will go to Foundation 58.

This event will start at 8am (shotgun start) May 24th, 2024 at Sand Springs Country Club in Drums PA. Registration will be at 7am. All golfers wishing to participate are asked to sign up ASAP and no later than May 6th. Spots will be limited to 36 teams. All pre-registration forms along with payment must be sent to Nanticoke Fire Headquarters at 2 East Ridge Street in Nanticoke, PA, 18634. Registration forms can be obtained via email or by visiting Nanticoke Fire Headquarters.
